   First time visiting the Kings Arms and we will definitely be returning. The Sunday roast was amazing and we had plenty of food. The staff were so friendly, and moved us to a quieter table without us asking. Very relaxed and friendly environment, perfect for a cosy Sunday after a walk on the beach. Highly recommend for both a small group and large.

   We were a family group of six. It was a nice Xmas feeling with the people around us. The food was just ok, some of the group enjoyed all the courses but majority thought it was very average for the money we paid. Service was very good, servers were cheerful and obliging. We did enjoy ourselves and there was plenty to eat. Was it value for money ? Not sure but you have to pay a lot extra when people work on Xmas day.

   It took nearly 3 hours to get two courses out, no discounts for delay and no apologies and cost £150.58

   Lovely character Inn. Staff friendly, food gorgeous, room and bed comfy. Overall, a great stay marking our wedding anniversary at Christmas.

   Unfortunately the food was lukewarm and of very poor quality, waitress that served our meal had good social skills but the bar staff were not very friendly at all, ordered a coffee at the end of the meal but had to send it back as it was just coloured water.

   We were looking forward to our meal and ordered 2 large venison roasts. It was the smallest amount of meat I’d ever seen on a plate. Even if I’d ordered a small it would still have been very small. Hardly any gravy attall. Which was a shame as apparently it was made with red wine. But not enough to really taste it. 2 tiny quarters of roast potatoes is definitely not large! I understand it’s run and owned by Greendale. Very good produce but maybe they’re relying on that name a little heavily. We were totally unimpressed. Never leave reviews normally but this was a big disappointment. Won’t be eating there again. Had to wait an hour for the food. But the staff were very friendly. I was still hungry when we left and went to the shop by the river and bought something else to eat.

   I booked a table for 3 to celebrate my wife’s birthday. On arrival, we were asked if we were taking part in the quiz. Upon answering ‘no’, we were told to ‘sit anywhere’. After finding a table, we sat down to await table service. After 10 minutes of seeing no table staff at all, my daughter went up to the bar to ask for some menus; she was told ‘there is no menu this evening, it’s curry during the quiz’. This was not made clear on the pub website, nor when we booked the table. As my wife does not eat curry, we left in great disappointment. I doubt we shall return.

   My wife and I went for Sunday lunch. She had the small roast and I had the steak and ale pile. For dessert it was Pecan Pie and the Belgian Waffles. The service was prompt and attentive even though there was a big party eating at the same time. The food was good and tasty.
