   The food was very good which is why this is so disappointing to write. The setting for this restaurant is quite pretty. Noise volume is high, I think because of the high ceilings. It was a Friday night and lots of people at the bar, but there was not enough ‘help’. We were seated immediately, but 10 minutes to get water, another 15 for our drinks. Our poor waitress was taking care of a million tables…so service was less than. They cleared two plates and then left the other two, until we left. We had to ask for the bill. The womens bathroom was a mess. Wet paper towels everywhere. A big disappointment, because this would have been a nice alternative to downtown Wilmette for dining. I think there needed to be a ‘manager’, and additional staff.

   Nicely done for a golf course, I don't think they strive to be more than they are. Yet they actually could if they tried.

   We were disappointed with the Easter Brunch Buffet. Very expensive for food that wasn't that good, wasn't fresh and was all room temperature. We've had better buffets at hotels on the road. While I understand that it was a busy day, the service was lackluster. We were at our table for quite some time before anyone came to give us water or take our drink orders. We might give The Lawn another try on a regular day, but would definitely not recommend a holiday buffet.

   Buffet marginal at best. Service team friendly and nice but not super attentive. Paper coffee cups not appropriate for a Sunday holiday brunch. Hoped for a better experience.

   This was a great brunch. The bagel & lox was complete and fab. The coffee was good. Nice carafe of water on the table and good size glasses. Super waitstaff. Really, the only quibble is with the noise level, and even that wasn't terrible.

   Salmon was dry, and it had been cooked earlier and was sitting under a heat lamp or reheated in a microwave. Romesco sauce may have helped it, but they were very skimpy on the sauce. Very noisy.

   I have never had a less than wonderful experience at The Lawn. Have been there for lunch and dinner several times. Our server last evening, Ia, was attentive and efficient. Food was fantastic. Always love the atmosphere - whether sitting by the cozy fireplace during the winter or patio during the warm months. Highly recommend.
