The food was amazing. Table side dessert impressive and yummy. Drinks were stiff and well made. I deducted a star because we (table of 5) were placed right in front of the front door. Every time it opened it was frigid. We were between the door and the check in stand so at times there was a bunch of people hovering around us. Made it very uncomfortable.

We have been to this fine restaurant many times even under the previous owner. Unfortunately, we had a waiter who was very aggressive. I ordered the most expensive entree and wine and my partner the same. The waiter asked me 3 times if I wanted my :$74 entree as an appetizer since I wasn’t ordering an appetizer. It clearly was on the menu as main course. He took away our glasses while they clearly were not finished. The room had quite a few empty tables and we certainly did not linger. We could not wait to get out of there he made us so uncomfortable. We had desert and after dinner drinks elsewhere. The manager asked how the service was and my partner told him. Worst waiter ever and unfortunately on Christmas eve. We will only go back to eat at the bar, if we ever return.

After multiple, excellent experiences at Il Gattopardo we thought we’d try The Leopard. The room itself is beautiful, and the food was very good. The service, however, was awful. Lots of people work here, but getting their attention is like pulling teeth. And we were shocked when the sommelier, who was in the middle of helping us, puts his coat on, waves to the rest of the staff, and leaves when they’re still open another 1.5 hours! The bill for 5 of us was over $1k; there are too many great places in NYC to ever go back here.

We were celebrating a 60 th wedding anniversary and a birthday. Great atmosphere for special occasion. Noisier than usual but it is holiday time somit did not bother us much. Excellent, accommodating service and gluten free options. And an easy walk from where we stay

Fish was cooked perfectly. But be aware, not a hint of casual dinning, No chance of getting French fries. Staff was amazingly attentive.

Food and service was excellent however a party of 13 were seated across from us and there was this one big mouth that ruined the entire experience my wife and I we couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
