The Loch & the Tyne is all about sustainable British luxury. The perfect countryside location for exclusive weddings, private events and country getaways.

A true Adam Handling restaurant in style, the menu showcases the best of British produce with a huge emphasis on sustainable practices, featuring ingredients from its own vegetable gardens and orchard. Adam’s take on a traditional British pub, The Loch & the Tyne is open 5 days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday.
The pub offers a relaxed and cosy space where guests can pop in for a quick drink or retreat for the day trying out the thoughtfully-curated list of local craft beers and wine. We very much celebrate English wines, both still and sparkling.
We are dog and children friendly pub. Our cosy lounge area is dedicated for the guests with the dogs and little ones - please let us know prior your booking so we can accomodate you accordingly.

We had a great Sunday roast. Staff welcoming, super friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. The highlight was the apple tarte tartin you have to wait 45 minutes but it is totally worth the wait served with ice cream, scrumptious. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience.

A cosy and warm venue with touches of class, in an area where there a dearth of quality - a real stand out. The service was impressive - engaging and energetic The quality of food and presentation was high - again a standout for a gastro pub. A gem of a venue, though you do pay for the privilege. A place you will enjoy returning to again and again.

Fabulous place for a long lunch. Fireplace keeps you toasty in winter. Knowledgeable and professional staff, overall a wonderful experience for our family of five

The restaurant was extremely cold and extremely noisy. The staff were whilst lovely, particularly inattentive. We also felt that their knowledge of the menu was average and that could have helped by providing more information whilst we were ordering. The “Tomapork” is not a meal for one person. I asked what it comes with and was told it would come on its own. However it wasn’t mentioned to me that the reason for that is that it’s enough meat to feed a family of four. Whilst the pork was tasty the fat was unrendered and slimy. Whilst having an unnecessary particularly large bone lying across the table makes a cosy atmosphere somewhat difficult. I felt the cocktails were of poor quality, not shaken enough and overpriced for this. £22 for Mac and Cheese is quite frankly a joke and the Haggis Scotch Egg has so little haggis that it’s more like an egg with a breadcrumb shell. Not what we expected from our anniversary dinner.

It was really tasty! Just a bit cold inside the restaurant itself due to the weather but the food and service was great :)

We were a group of 8 family members getting together for the evening. We arrived, were given water and then no one came to out table for 25mins which was only because I asked if we could order. The food was good but not fabulous. Admittedly the weather was cold but the room needed more heating and every time someone came in there was a horrible draft of cold air. We just felt it was lacking customer care and atmosphere.
