   The food was really good as usual here in this restaurant. The only problem we had was with The wine my husband ordered with dessert..  it looked extremely cloudy and my husband did not want to taste it. it was returned three times but eventually the problem was resolved by a new bottle of wine opened and it was noticed straight away there was not a cloudy issue. despite the problem being resolved, we were not charged for the wine. Thank you.

   Lovely informal layout and vibe. Warm welcome and sat at the table quickly on arrival. We expected more from the food. My beef wellington probably had less than 50g of beef in it surround by a good inch of mushrooms which dwarfed the steak. Possibly over seasoned - couldn’t really taste the meat. My wife’s would have liked a little more pork belly. The service was impeccable throughout. Very friendly and attentive.

   Food good service poor. For a busy Friday night we don’t feel there was enough staff working. They had run out of a lot of spirits and cocktails. The staff didn’t check back to ensure everything was okay with our food and our table wasn’t cleaned between our mains and dessert. We also had to wait ages for the bill. Unfortunately this restaurant does not live up to Adam Handlings name.

   An all-round delicious meal - from the melt in the mouth pork belly with interesting garnishes to the excellent desserts - a fabulous choclate fondant, for example. Menu blissfully short but packed with interest and imagination. Efficient and unobtrusive service. Although awarded a bib gourmand, I think the restaurant/kitchen deserves a Michelin Star. Worth the journey [a couple from Watford, a couple from Reading]. Thank you for an enjoyable experience

    Great service from the moment we walked through the door. Food was delicious. We had the bread and chicken butter, black pudding bon bons, hake and beef burger.
