Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.

The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!

Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

    This was our first visit but certainly won’t be the last. We had a friendly greeting, great service and excellent food from a comprehensive menu. Can’t wait to return.

    Lovely setting, beautiful building, extensive menu with some very interesting dishes. Excellent service, food arrived promptly. We will definitely return.

    We booked this evening as it was advertised as a jazz event but unfortunately although food and service were of the usual standard we couldn’t really hear from the far end of the dining area. It was really disappointing as we went with the expectation of ambiance and actually although we could tell someone was singing in the distance we had no idea who or what so felt it was a bit misleading when advertised.

    Problem with the heating so was very cold, therefore food didn’t stay hot long enough. Saying that food still lovely. Moved by the log burner for drinks after so warmed up. Complementary coffee to compensate the no heating. Just a bit unfortunate we picked the day the heating went wrong.

    Food although a bit pricey for some choices was excellent, couldn’t fault the service, polite and nice staff, a full restaurant which was good to see, only negative was it was very noisy/loud we had a table for two and we could hardly hear each other speak.
