   Dining here is always enjoyable. The food is always good, well presented and good value for money ..... particularly the weekday lunch deal menu. The staff are helpful and friendly.

   2 Pints of Guinness and a Large White Zinfandel. Chicken Korma Chicken Desi Malabar Fish curry Egg Fried rice 2 x Masala Chips Plain Nan, Garlic and Coriander Nan, Chilli Garlic Nan and a Roti Best Curry in Tamworth without a doubt. Consistently excellent, superb quick and efficient service, always manage to get a table (31), Staff are all brilliant and we are treated like guests. Our local Monday curry.

   We were seated quickly then orders taken. Once the food arrived we were forgotten for the rest of the night. The pork belly was overcooked, tough to eat and very dry. We had to call a member of staff from the bar which took 15 minutes as none of the staff were looking after any of the diners, they were huddled around the bar. Not one of the other diners was spoken too once their food was served either. Once someone was summoned they said they would speak to the kitchen, which agreed. They offered to replace the meal for us buty wife didn't want to eat alone. This was not removed from the bill which a had to shout for service after being ignored yet again for 15 minutes, we had to then ask for the meal to be removed. The other food was ok but nothing special. I wouldn't recommend the Malt house to anyone. Our previous visit had been a disappointment as well, I certainly won't be visiting again.

   Absolutely fabulous food!! Most of the waiters/ waitresses were fantastic too. The place is well set out. We arrived early, about 6.30pm and it was nice and quiet. It did get a bit noisier later on. The food was reasonably priced too. We were charged for two puddings we didn't have, but as soon as I pointed it out it was resolved. There was an English and an Indian menu, both looked delicious and if anything, there was too much choice!! Would definitely go again :)

   We dined as a table of 7 and most of the food looked ok but 1 person had the fish and chips and there was a lot of grease pooled on the plate, which was very off putting. 2 of us also had 'lasagna', this was NOT a lasagna. It was a very small spoon of sauce, virtually no pasta, and absolutely no bechamel sauce. There was however an extremely thick layer of cheese that was chewy and not pleasant to eat. The whole 'lasagna' was no more than a centimeter thick and we were very disappointed. We did not complain on the night as the staff were very busy and seemed under pressure. There was a mix up where the one of the main meals came out as starter but the staff were very courteous and this was sorted out quickly and politely.
