   another lovely meal out at The Malt House. Friendly attentive staff, excellent choice of menus. Booked a table for 3 at 115pm, seated and served immediately hardly any wait at all for food or drinks. Ordered 2-1 mains, 2 puddings, a 2 course light bite menu, 2 coffees and a drink and all for £47. Food was hot and tasty even served hot milk with our coffees. We will be back for a birthday meal in February. Only one small negative it wasn’t that warm in there if you weren’t by a radiator but if it was busier that may not be the case as it was very quiet when we went. This is our second visit and we purposely tried different meals and desserts on the menu and were not disappointed.

   First time visiting The Malt House in many years and we were not disappointed. Welcomed as we walked through the door shown to our table and presented with a varied menu. It was nice to see on a Sunday menu not just roast dinners. My husband chose the fish and chips. He said it was one of the best pieces of cod he had in along time and he is not easily pleased. Both my mum and I chose roast dinners which were served piping hot and with a separate bowl of vegetables. The serving staff were attentive and polite without being intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. We have booked again and are looking forward to trying their midweek menu which includes authentic homemade curries. It may have taken years for us to return but I think we have found a gem!

   Lovely food, fast service & really friendly staff. They offered to move our table when they saw my Mom using a walking stick rather than her go up some steps. 😊

   The food was of a good variety, and of good value. The food came out nice and hot, quickly and was at a good level. The pub was quite cold therefore we had to keep our coats on throughout the meal. The service was good and the staff were pleasant.

   We arrived for our meal only to be told that due to a power cut there was a very limited menu they had our contact details so felt they could have pre warned us & given the chance to decide whether or not to come. We go quite regularly here so it was a dissappointment

   Friendly, efficient staff & plenty of them. Food was good and arrived quickly. It was very busy but that did not affect the great service.
