Inspired by Moroccan architecture and the Greek Islands, The Mez Club opened its doors in September 2016 and is renowned for its beautiful styling and feel good vibe. The Mez Club was designed to offer locals and tourists alike a beautiful and feel good meeting place which has a flexible menu, that works for both grazing and dining. The upstairs space known as The Souk has been designed specifically to care for parties and group events. We welcome you and your friends to join us in enjoying our restaurant and of course, beautiful Byron Bay.

    Beautiful restaurant,fabulous food. Great drinks. Meze larger sharing menu excellent except tiny dessert to share amongst 3 people. Hard to divide 2 small pieces of pineapple amongst 3 with a spoon. Ashame when dessert should have been a highlight.

    Beautifully styled restaurant with great service. The wine list was good and whilst there’s a relatively short menus there were plenty of great things to choose from. The scallops, the lamb and the broccoli were rhetorical winners.

    Elena and Johnny were fantastic host and waiter, we had two babies with our group and they made us feel very welcome. We loved the food and felt very well looked after. The lamb shoulder was fabulous and don’t neglect the carrots they’re also delish. Five stars from us.

    This is one of my favourite restaurants of all time! The food and service is excellent, the wine is paired perfectly and the ambience is superb. I highly recommend everyone tries The Mez at least once in their lives.

    Would not recommend for large groups. Booked for 13 people and were split across 3 different tables. Still had to do set menu. The set menu is 8 of their “best dishes” but I don’t think people pay $88 for marinated olives and pickled vegetables. Took 40 minutes between each dish and were served across 3 hours, after we informed them we wanted all the plates at the same time. Even though we had informed them numerous times that people had dietary requirements, they still bought out the wrong food items then had to re serve the food. We asked for a bottle of wine, after 35 minutes they informed us they had run out of glasses. Ended up cancelling the dessert because the service was so appalling. When the bill came, they tried to charge us for the set menu again which was already pre paid. Won’t be going back.
