    Very nice dinner at the Mooring. Mike, our server was very friendly and professional. We order the whole roasted fish and it was excellent. Octopus appetizer was good but sauce had too much garlic. The oysters were exceptional!! We would definitely return.

    We were visiting off of a cruise ship and saw the many positive reviews, so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. Our server, Austin, made some great recommendations with the clam chowder, Rhode Island oysters, quahogs, the whole branzino and the shrimp pasta. Everything was fantastic.

    We are long time customers of The Mooring. The ambience on Newport Harbor is always a treat, but what made this visit extraordinary was the service. We were entertaining someone special to us, which we noted in our reservation, and were given a quiet, private table. Missy, our server was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in every way.

    This is a beach town with beach restaurants. Don’t expect too much. They do and should cater to the locals. On our visit they were overwhelmed despite 3 hostesses. Let’s just say it didn’t work out for us. Hopefully the “mama” hostess can train the younger ones soon. The place was hopping

    Really enjoyed the crab toast appetizer, the whole fish entree, and the key lime pie. Excellent presentations with terrific service. I can easily understand why this place is so busy, even in the off-season.
