   Lovely food my wife enjoyed the goat cheese salad starter and the fish pie to follow I had soup and chicken. All really well cooked in a comfortable setting. Very busy so it’s best to book.

   Great pub / restaurant and fantastic food. We had the Sunday roast sharing platter and it was huge. The meal was delicious can’t fault it. Ambience was lovely and friendly staff. Great place with lots of memorabilia around the pub and restaurant.

   Very poor service, 20 minutes to order, 30 minutes for food. Again 20 minutes for desert menu. Service poor

   Having read some poor reviews on this pub we entered with a little trepidation, however we needn’t have worried. The staff were welcoming and friendly the food was delicious and plentiful. All in all we had a lovely meal in charming surroundings with friendly professional service. Thank you 👍

   We dine here every time we visit Northumberland and have always enjoyed it. On this occasion the service was poor and the roast was awful. The food was barely lukewarm and the beef was stringy and tough. It was the last meal of our holiday. It was very disappointing and a waste of our hard earned money.

   Medium rare steak was rare. Mushrooms and tomatoes under cooked. Only the chips and onion rings were hot the rest of the food was cold.

    Authentic sea side pub with cosy atmosphere and welcoming staff. We ordered the fish pie hoping to sample the local seafood. However we were left “fishing” for the fish in a tasty dish but with very little fish. The seasonal vegetables were fresh and well cooked. Disappointing and over priced.
