My friend suggested we do power lunch salmon since it’s lent. First time I tried it. Very good. I’ve been missing out.

Food was not as good as a year ago. We had a table of five which they sat next to the bar. The rest of the restaurant was empty. Service was mediocre for an empty restaurant. Won’t return.

The Palm had no lobsters and no crab legs on a Saturday night. At least the manager and waiter were very thoughtful.

Overall, The Palm is a nice place to eat. The food is still decent. But the Service is continuously lacking. They do not treat every table the same and disappear for long periods of time. The table next to us joked about the wait staff treat each of his tables, so we both order the Lobster Bisque to see what would happen. The waiter came out setup their bowls and served them each personally, then came to our table and just set the bowls and pitcher of soup down on the corner of the table and walked away... They want to came to be a fine dining restaurant but it's more like a Coopers Hawk at this point unfortunately.. with dust old Palm Tree with Xmas lights..

The food was ok not great. Our waiter was very good. The room was pretty with the snow coming down and then we fireworks at navy pier were cool.
