We’ve done afternoon tea here over many years but never during the holiday season. Never again. Michelin star prices for food and service you would expect at a diner. No sparkle. No panache. No magic. dessert and teas were great. Probably our last afternoon tea at the drake. Time to look around at other options.

I’ve been going to tea for many years. This year the room was crowded, hot and rushed. I think the price has gotten out of hand. On the other hand, the service was great.

We enjoyed a 4:30 Afternoon Tea with our family. This was our first Afternoon Tea and loved the experience. The food and tea were delicious! Christine was our server. She was amazing! My son had many food allergies and they made a custom plate of food for him. We had a dairy allergy and they had delicious options for us. Our experience was delightful! We would love to attend again.

We go every year and it is always lovely. The hostesses were extremely accommodating when we had one person arrive very late.

Such a great holiday tradition. Carolers and harp player provide a great holiday atmosphere. Services was good but we didn’t get any hot water refills.

I take my children every year to the Holiday Tea. This year was incredibly disappointing. We were seated in front of a server door that was in constant, noisy rotation. The service was a bit slow and at times, the server got our requests wrong requiring us to have to repeat ourselves over and over. One of my desserts had a very long hair baked into it. When brought to their attention, the servers immediately had the F&B manager come to our table where she very dryly, and very curtly, apologized and then offered 50% off my tea service. Absolute insult. I spend hundreds of dollars on tea service and even come back every year for the exceptional experience expected at the Drake. Having a disgusting long hair baked into my food is not the standard you’d expect at the Drake and the dry and curt response from the manager was very off-putting. Then when we went to use the Ladies room, it was a filthy mess! Suddenly, the hair baked into my food seemed more indicative of a poorly kept restaurant that is doing little to maintain its standards and is relying on their popularity instead. I may think twice next year.
