About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
  • Great for scenic views
The Pink Door is an independently owned (never cloned, never genetically modified) restaurant that has been quietly dedicated to fresh & local Italian food since 1981. Its seafood & produce driven menu has been the central theme throughout its wildly popular domain in Seattle's Pike Place Market.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Dylan Giordan

From the OpenTable editors: A Seattle favorite since 1981, this Pike Place Market restaurant is where owner Jackie Roberts wholly embraces her Italian American heritage. Think seasonal vegetables dipped in bagna cauda, fettuccine with braised wild boar, and negroni sbagliatos all served in an airy, rustic dining room decked out with white tablecloths and chandeliers. When the weather's nice, post up on the restaurant's charming patio for some epic Elliott Bay views.

Beautiful decor with spacious dining room overlooking the bay. Sunset was gorgeous. Service was exemplary. We had the grilled asparagus with a cheese mousse appetizer that was delectable. The spinach lasagna and spring risotto did not disappoint. We wanted dessert but couldn’t manage anything else!

Reservations at 7pm. Got there a couple minutes early and were seated immediately. Erik was our waiter and all his recommendations were spot on. The food was exceptional. The service fantastic. This place lived up to expectations. A must go to when visiting the Pike’s Market area.

I had an incredible dining experience at The Pink Door — truly one of the best meals I’ve had in Seattle. Every dish, from the appetizer to the salad, entrée, dessert, and even the drinks, was absolutely delicious. The flavors were vibrant, the presentation was beautiful, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. As someone who’s used to the food scene in New York, I’ve found it hard to find spots in Seattle that really impress — but The Pink Door blew me away. This place is a rare gem that delivers on every level. I can’t wait to come back!

Service was excellent, and the food was amazing. The portion sizes were generous for the price compared to similar restaurants. I had the linguine alle vongole, and I got what I felt to be a very generous portion of clams. The espresso cheesecake was amazing and also a hearty portion. The only thing we didn’t like was the decaf coffee which was very bitter.

Unbelievable experience from the moment we walked in. We got there a half hour early for our reservation and they took us without hesitation. Our waiter was wonderful. He never rushed us and was a true professional. The entertainment was a lot of fun. We saw two aerial shows while we ate and she was really good. The food did not disappoint. I tried the half antipasto which had a lot of food on it, all delicious. The mozzarella was my favorite, it was salted and was better than any I have tasted. For dinner I had the chicken saltimbocca which was also mouth watering. The green beans on both dishes were good enough to mention here. The wine was also perfect. All in all it was a great experience. Thanks Pink Door! Oh and glad I knew there was no sign for the restaurant before I got there or I would have walked around looking for it. The door is pinkish. First on the right!
