    Great birthday celebration for my mother. The service was outstanding and they really took care of us. Food was great and the restaurant was decorated beautifully for the holidays.

    We arrived, brought to our table and the waiter was very attentive at that time. Once our guests arrived no-one came to the table for 20 minutes and we had to flag someone down. He didn't offer to pour our wine and he seemed absent for the rest of our meal. Food wasn't very good and in fact I feel sick from it this morning.

    We adore the Pony Room. Chris, our server, and his team do a tremendous job making us feel welcome, helping us with menu selections, and anticipating our every need. The food last night was outstanding and we enjoyed the seasonal drinks as well. The live music is a special touch, though we sit outside where the music is a bit muted and easier for us to carry on conversation. Rancho Valencia is especially beautiful this time of year with the holiday declarations and lights. Worth the splurge!
