   We have been to The Pot Kiln twice now and it never disappoints. Restaurant and staff very welcoming with a great atmosphere. Menu had changed which is nice to see and the food was amazing. Love to see the chefs in the open kitchen working there magic. Would highly recommend this to anyone and we are definitely coming back.

   We started with the Tapas and each dish was very good. The main of a big dish of Fish stew was good in quality and variety of fish but somewhat overpowered by the thickness and strong flavour of the sauce. We were also disappointed by the small size of the Basque cheese cake we chose to share for dessert. The expresso coffee was excellent. The cost was reasonable to rather high. The service was excellent. The young waiter knew the menu well and was very personable. We have been before and the overall experience was not as good as the first time.

   Food was amazing . We had ribs, sweet peppers and Spanish potatoes (million layers not bravas) beetroot, prawns and carrots. All great . Especially the baked cheesecake . Food rather expensive though , only complaint .

   Our 4th visit to the newly refurbished Potkiln that has morphed into a basque style eatery under its new owners. They keep knocking it out the park, our 1st visit was outstanding and each subsequent visit has been equally as brilliant. Unfortunately, people sometimes forget that when they eat out, they are just not paying for some ingredients and some cooking time, there is so much more involved. The Potkiln delivers and that comes at a price, in our families view extremely fair and well worth every penny. This trips treats included Mushroom Croquetas with a unique Walnut sauce, pulled Short Rib Empanadas with a Gherkin Ketchup which was sublime, Mackerel with Pangratata, Clams with Manzanilla, Hispi Cabbage with Miso, Spanish layered crispy Potatoes and a banging Salt Room Dry Aged Hereford Sirloin. Typically Spanish Basque style you can elect to have the food served as it’s cooked, a stream of terracotta dishes filled with sumptuous flavours each delighting the palate. The Potkiln is currently our ‘go to’ restaurant, we can be sure of the consistent quality, fabulous service and warm and inviting environment. 11/10

   As a relative local, I’m hesitant to share this review as I want to keep this gem to myself and always be sure they have a table free. It is unbelievably good in all dimensions.

   Really great experience. Staff knowledgeable, food high quality. Nice atmosphere. Open kitchen is nice to see, though this contributes to make it slightly noisier - all manageable, though if intimate conversation is needed, you may want to book a quiet table in the corner (though then you’s miss the kitchen view). We’d never had Basque inspired food, and it was a genuine treat.

   The room was cold, food ok but the potatoes had crisped under the lights, the lamb slightly fatty. Beetroots were excellent as were the tapas dishes. our bill had another tables desserts added to it - so attention to detail not quite right on this occasion
