The Prancing Stag is a family-run, award-winning neighbourhood restaurant specialising in modern, seasonal Scottish food, with the restaurant being awarded an AA Rosette award for culinary excellence 2022/2023/2024.

The restaurant is just off of Crow Road beside Jordanhill train station, just three stops from the Exhibition Centre, Events Campus & OVO Hydro. We're also only a short walk from Scotstoun show ground for the Glasgow Warriors Games. So, perfect for all your meals & drinks pre (and/or post) match or concert.

Our front of house staff strive to create a relaxed & friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy a meal with family, friends or colleagues. And, if there's anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable, please get in touch.

We offer a set-priced and an a la carte menu, & we cater to all dietary requirements, with hopefully something for everyone. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Prancing Stag and I can confidently say it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious — each dish was clearly prepared with care and packed with flavour. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, and it really enhanced the overall atmosphere of the place. I highly recommend, and will definitely be coming back.

Stunning food , as always! The tasting menu and wine pairing were both delightful. The friendly and welcoming service cemented a lovely dining experience 💕 A golden gem of a restaurant without a doubt !

This was a lovely meal, great food and service. But I will check next time if there’s a large party booked ( very noisy) and make sure we’re placed away from them.

A lovely wee restaurant, excellent service and food. We had the market menu which was good value. I love the small rolls you get to start with, then I had the sea bass cooked to perfection in a lemony sauce. The atmosphere is calm and service excellent. Highly recommended

The food and service were both absolutely faultless. Our only slight issue was the bench seat padding bounced when the diner on the next table moved or got up.
