After years of planning and work to restore the historical building that inspired the brewery, The Publican House restaurant and tap house is opening its doors to you! The 170-year old building has been reborn using original elements wherever possible, with a modern twist to create a unique and inviting space.

With a focus on local, we have incorporated a new spin to pub food featuring a wood fired pizza oven, high quality fresh ingredients and recommended beer pairing options with daily specials.

The bar features all of our Publican House beers, crafted on-site, along with new specialty brews developed monthly and available exclusively at The Publican House. Rounding out the menu will be locally produced craft beer, speciality cocktails and wine from around the world.

I’d go back here. There was great live music and unique beer. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. Service was a little slow. The drink menu had maybe the best mix of beers and ciders that my whole table of different tastes enjoyed. This would be my first choice in town if I was looking for a unique pint and an appetizer.

Excellent upscale neighborhood pub with a from-scratch menu and daily specials, decent attentive staff and comfortable atmosphere. It’s a go-to spot for informal business, family celebrations and small parties.

Publican is our local restaurant. Always a delicious pizza and even the side salads are huge Staff is super friendly quick to offer suggestions

Our server did not come back to see if we needed anything we needed to reach out to her for refills. The fries were burnt and the gravy was a cold lump of what looked like Thanksgiving left over gravy. We were not giving an itemized total of our bill.

Too loud …. Food was mediocre! But sadly not enough taste to the food. The beer was poured in correctly. Too much head as the English say. Our man was from England !
