The Rail Trail Flatbread Co., celebrated its grand opening on 12/12/23, marking not only a milestone in Milford's downtown revitalization but also a nod to the original Hudson location's success. Built in a meticulously renovated former bank that features a spacious restaurant and bar, outdoor patio, and upstairs events space, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The Milford location reflects a two-and-a-half-year renovation effort, preserving historical elements like the century-old clock, vault door, and exposed brick walls. The open dining layout encourages interaction, adorned with family photos for a homey feel.

Though famous for flatbreads, Rail Trail boasts diverse offerings, each component is made in-house. Very nice and super accommodating for several changes in the reservation amount. I was also pleasantly surprised they had vegan options. I will definitely go again and can see it becoming a new birthday tradition.

Every single person who works here is friendly and proactively helpful. (Seeing my elderly father looking around, someone came up to ask if he was looking for the restroom [he was].) We sat on the patio for a quieter environment, which was nice. The food never disappoints! A Harvest Salad offered all 5 of us appetizer portions of salad; the Primo Pepperoni flatbread is the only entree on any menu for which I break my pescatarianism. A perfect casual dining experience for a reasonable price!

We go about once a month and have never been disappointed. Food, service and atmosphere have always been great!!! A little noisy, but that will not stop us from going back.

The menu was an experience in itself, offering dishes I never dreamed of. I took a chance on the fried pickles and dip and then ordered the double burger with fries. Others in my party ordered different pizzas and amazing drinks. My burger was perfectly cooked and huge! I found I could not resist the fried pickles and wouldn’t let the server take them when the rest of our dinner arrived. I would highly recommend this restaurant to even the most picky eater (like me)! The staff was great, got everything right and brought us boxes to take the leftovers home. Definitely four stars!!

This was our second visit to this restaurant. Both times , we were greeted at the door and brought to our table with polite conversation. Our server, Arthur, was very knowledgeable and friendly. For the second time, our food was delicious. We were seated near the pizza oven. It was amazing to watch the process of making the pizzas and preparing them for the servers. We will definitely be returning.
