   Amazing food again, quality never dips anytime we go. It was obviously busy due to being Mother's Day, but staff were still attentive and took time to talk/chat/laugh. We had a few special requests with food and all were spot on! Our favourite place.

   Although the food was good and fresh one of the steaks ordered was terrible and just a fry steak full of fat not a rump steak at all and the peppercorn sauce was so thick I had to use a spoon to get it out of the jug. The service you get is definitely based on whether or not you are local or not as we were in and sat down before 3 other tables of a similar size to us and all of them had orders taken and were eating before our orders were even taken more staff is definitely needed on a Saturday night. From start to finish was almost 3 hours which is ridiculous and I would have fired my staff for such inattentive service in the pub I run.

    This is our local pub and we’re always made to feel so welcome, we’re not just locals anymore but friends. We dine here at least once a month, had Christmas lunch and recently I had my 50th birthday party in the restaurant which I will always remember. Phoebe and the team are nothing less than amazing! We are proud to call The Red Lion our local, we have comfortably and proudly brought friends and family to visit who all love the place and always want to return. The food is fabulous, the fish and chips in my opinion is award winning! Everything is cooked fresh and served piping hot and very well presented. We are very lucky to have such an amazing and friendly local in our doorstep!
