The staff is very attentive and helpful. We started with the crab bisque, which looked just like the photos on their website, and tasted incredible. We were really impressed. My wife had the grouper sandwich, and it was also really well prepared, and delectable. Due to some dietary restrictions, I had a salad with ahi tuna over it, which was also tasty. We finished the meal by sharing a slice of their wonderful key lime pie, which we both enjoyed, accompanied by a latte for me, and a nice hot cup of tea for my wife. We will still go to the outdoor shows, but now we found a great reason to go inside the Reserve Retreat. Kasha was professional and charming when she spoke of the Reserve Retreat and the history of Ringling. We both ordered a BLT, mine with the addition of avocado. This will sound silly, but this may have been the best BLT we've had. Toast crisp, bacon perfectly crisped and.salty, tomatoes with flavor rather than like cardboard and fresh lettuce. Perfect amount of mayo. And for me, the avocado, thinly sliced and at the perfect ripeness, took ot.over the top. Lovely meal in a pretty venue as an extension of our Ringling experience. However, I wish we would have discovered The Reserve Retreat a lot sooner!\n\nThis is the historical home of the Ringling family located just north of downtown Sarasota on US 41/Tamiami Trail.\n\nHere is why I am rating The Reserve Retreat 5 stars:\n\n1. Service and food was outstanding and certainly nothing I would have expected. My grouper was done perfectly, as was the rice that came with it, and the chef's vegetables were delicious and flavored appropriately for this dish. My husband had the bone-in pork chop, the red pepper mashed potatoes, and the same veggie medley that I had. Prior to our entrees, we ordered the fish dip as an appetizer, and it did not disappoint! I spotted crab bisque on the menu, filet mignon, an Impossible burger, amongst other items. We ended our meal with a piece of gluten-free chocolate cake, which was delicious in itself, but the whipped cream garnish had an surprise amaretto flavor to it--wow!\n\n2. Live music venue. Brittany and Mia were playing the night we were there. The venue has a small stage outside in the courtyard in between the buildings where the chairs and tables are situated with nice patio umbrellas for the patrons.\n\n3. Service was outstanding. It appeared that 2 servers were on duty the evening we were at The Reserve Retreat. We were graced with service from Heather, who was awesome in every single way! She explained the history of the place to us, as well as shared the daily specials with us before we ordered. \n\n4. Who knew there are SLEEPING rooms for rent available at this location??? \n\nWe also happened to run into neighbors there who live on our street! It was very cool to see them there.\n\nOverall, this place is laid back and a great venue for a small soiree - probably no more than 40.\n\nWe will definitely be back again! We had our first dining experience at The Reserve by Chef Antonio. For an appetizer we could not decide between the appetizer special which was tuna tartare and the menu listed filet mignon carpaccio so we decided to get both. My goodness they were both incredible and the filet mignon carpaccio was the best we have ever had anywhere. I had the fettuccine with lobster and my partner had the shrimp dish with polenta and fresh seasonal vegetables. I would highly recommend both dishes. The sauce on the fettuccine was flavorful and light. See photos. We finished off our meal with panna cotta and we were blessed with a tiramisu sample. Again, I would recommend either or both! The Reserve was absolutely wonderful. Dinner with another couple. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food and the surroundings. Staff very attentive. I highly recommend short rib flatbread appetizer. Never tasted something so tasty and delicious. My husband chose a calamari ciopino It was delicious. Homemade gnocchi shrimp fra diavolo and risotto porcini were exceptional. Our friends had a veal chop and pork osso bucco which they loved. Desserts were lovely. This is definitely a restaurant for special occasions or just to enjoy.

Wow! We had our first dining experience at The Reserve by Chef Antonio. For an appetizer we could not decide between the appetizer special which was tuna tartare and the menu listed filet mignon carpaccio so we decided to get both. My goodness they were both incredible and the filet mignon carpaccio was the best we have ever had anywhere. I had the fettuccine with lobster and my partner had the shrimp dish with polenta and fresh seasonal vegetables. I would highly recommend both dishes. The sauce on the fettuccine was flavorful and light. See photos. We finished off our meal with panna cotta and we were blessed with a tiramisu sample. Again, I would recommend either or both! What a wonderful gem.

We discovered this little gem recently after meeting a couple at the Ballet who raved about their recent experience. The food and the presentation were excellent. We were delighted from beginning to end. The service was so personal and professional and despite the restaurant being quite busy,, it was not noisy……a pleasant surprise. We definitely plan to return.

What a Find! We had a wonderful outdoor dinner (in a courtyard) where the food and the service were terrific!
Several family members commented that it was their favorite meal in recent memory. We will definitely return next winter in 2026!

Wonderful service and ambiance. Beef carppacio was top shelf as was the eggplant tower. We both had the pasta special of tortellini with a truffle sauce. It's not the fake truffle oil at many restaurants. Panna Cotta was the real deal that topped off the meal. We will be back.
