A great Sunday lunch venue and it was fab to bring my dog along who devoured the Sunday roast bowl for dogs.

Unfortunately the afternoon tea fell really short here - the quality was shocking TBH! The sandwich selection and quality was terrible especially the truffle egg finger sandwich, as the bread was stale & dry and the salmon with cream cheese was mediocre! Cake selection again, really poor - bar the lemon meringue & scone the only edible from bites presented! Then finally, the fact you only get one servicing of hot drinks - was pretty shocking as normally you do / should get unlimited hot drinks! Overall for the price - its really not worth it! I will definitely revisit Refuge only for drinks and thier decent Sunday Roast, but for the afternoon tea - never again!! I've definitely had the latter better elsewhere and cheaper in price! The only highlight was the chap whom served us as he was lovely.

Excellent service from Labato who looked after us brilliantly. The afternoon tea service was new and faultless. We look forward to visiting again

Beautiful restaurant in an outstanding setting; nicely spaced tables and an 'energetic' setting. The menu was exciting looking but unfortunately the food wasn't that good. The sourdough bread and butter was nice. If you are not massively into fine food tasting then it may well be ok for you though. The wine menu was bad, if you're into wine avoid it! Service to our table was warm and friendly but the overall team were a little 'distant'.

Ho prenotato settimane fa apposta per trovarmi nel giardino interno. Ieri mi è stato comunicato all'ultimo che non era più possibile a causa di un evento privato. Siamo state messe in una sala piuttosto rumorosa. Il servizio era pessimo e mi è stato anche chiesto, una volta seduti e ordinato, di ridare il mio nome della prenotazione.

Ridiculously expensive for not a lot of food. Nothing to write home about! Loved the ambience, but £24 for a piece of salmon with no accompanying sides was way too much. My chicken parfait came with no toast. Crazy!

Although the food was good, the service was very poor. Having had our meals served an hour before, we had to ask staff to clear the table. No attempt was made to offer coffee. Staff were busy chatting, and folding napkins, but ignored their tables. A lovely setting but staff seemed oblivious.
