Great meal but there was an hour’s wait from being seated to receiving our meals. We had booked a table. The manager/publican did apologise and suggested the delay was an IT error. I couldn’t help thinking they had over booked diners and the kitchen could not cope. Otherwise a decent meal at a fair price.

Couldn’t fault a thing. Absolutely amazing service from all members of staff and very welcoming. The food was the best we have ever had. We stayed at the campsite and it was a lovely stay. Was greeted with a welcoming smile by Andrea and her husband Andy was very welcoming when met him in the pub. Will definitely be recommending

Not normally one to complain, this was a disappointing visit. Normally the food here is very good even if the prices have seemed to have gone up. My flatbread which came with the Greek Gyros dish and was a main part of the dish, was very tough to the extent that it could not be cut with a knife and my wife’s focaccia bread with the lasagne turned up as garlic bread. Shame that this marred the visit for us as we are frequent visitors. The waitress only told us that she had told the chef about the problem and did not offer any resolution. The menu seems to have been the same for a very long time now and the prices of paper which it is presented on are getting very tired. Maybe it’s time for an update to entice more people to visit!

Fantastic food, friendly and welcoming staff! We had a lovely meal and left with stuffed bellies! Will definitely be back. Can't believe its taken us so long to try The Rising Sun, its honestly the nicest place we've been to in the 3 years we've been here!

Wonderfully welcoming and friendly staff, couldn't be more helpful. Accommodated our dog without any bother. Food was excellent, really tasty but not fussy. Portion sizes very generous. Very nice relaxed atmosphere. Only slight thing to be aware of is the lack of parking but that doesn't detract from a lovely evening.
