   The Roost has rapidly become our favorite dining experience in Durango. Great location,cozy and always friendly with delicious food. Starting with their delicious crab cake special as shared appetizer, I had the haddock and chips special. Fish was light, delicate and accompanied by thin crisp fries, cole slaw and tartar sauce. My husband had his favorite prime rib. His dirty martini was as murky as he loves. Our waiter was friendly but professional and all the staff there appears to get along well and work well together as a team. The Roost is a true gem.

   Great experience! Abby, the manager, waited on us and was awesome…her knowledge of and suggestions about the food and drinks were spot on. And, the food was great. Perfect spot for a casual, but slightly upscale dinner. Will be going back to have dinner before a concert at the attached venue.

   It was New Year’s Eve, we were a party of 5. The cocktails and wine were generous and not over-priced. We ordered two crab cake specials to share and it was delicious - could have been a bit hotter (temp wise). Three of us got the Parmesan crusted cod - generous portion and very tasty. Two got the wall-eye special - it was delicious, but pricey. We had to leave a bit earlier than we otherwise would have, but it was New Years Eve afterall, so we understood. in any case, it was an enjoyable experience, and we’ll be back.

   We had a reservation on a Saturday night - right after opening. We were seated quickly and our drinks and food was terrific. Kids meals came out first - which pleased the kids. The craft cocktails were amazing and kept us wanting more. Will definitely be back the next time we’re in Durango.

   Prime rib is delicious. My husband and I shared that along with an order of the Mac & cheese. The buzz bus martini is fantastic.

    We love eating at The Roost! Their prime rib is always so good. Plus you can get Cockoos wings from downstairs. It’s a win win!
