We are thrilled to announce the long-anticipated reopening of our restaurant! Step into the newly reimagined Landmark Tavern at The Ryland Inn, where the charm of a classic tavern meets the sophistication of modern dining. At the heart of our kitchen is Executive Chef Daniel Brunina, whose passion for local, fresh ingredients shines through in every dish.

While the Tavern menu takes center stage, our culinary creativity extends far beyond. From cult wines and rare spirits to classic cocktails, the details are crafted to create an unforgettable dining experience. Set against a backdrop of unpretentious charm, with equestrian décor that reflects our rich history and playful spirit, The Ryland Inn is more than just a place to eat—it's again a destination for those who seek the joys of exceptional food, great company, and an atmosphere that feels like home.

Welcome back to the Ryland, welcome home.

"In terms of decor, Ralph Lauren would be jealous." -The New York Times. Romantic and luxurious, equestrian yet refined. Built in 1796, The Ryland Inn is a former country home and stagecoach stop. Today, it is a redesigned space that boasts exposed wood beams, elegant chandeliers, and exceptional cuisine. Both spaces are located on opposite sides of the property, ensuring exclusive use of the facility. Nestled on these 10 acres are overnight accommodations as well. The Grand Ballroom- With the feel of a country farmhouse paired with modern flair, the breathtaking 30' windows and matching stone fireplace play perfectly in concert with the glimmer and glow of our chandeliers. The Coach House- Our refurbished 200-year-old barn is nothing short of magnificent for your next event. Utilizing the original silo and materials from the original barn, this space is unique, authentic and dramatic. For more info: 866.683.3586 or events@landmarkvenues.com.

Restaurant is still beautiful, but it is seriously underheated. We requested they turn up the heat and they said they did, but it was still like a refrigerator with a draft (I'm sure the high ceilings don't help but,....). Only the bathrooms were adequately heated. Except for made to order eggs, the Brunch food was room temperature or cold, including the carving station and French toast. Ham, shrimp, salmon were cold, overcooked, and surprisingly tasteless. If you want to serve buffet, you need to figure out how to keep the food warm but not dried out, especially in the winter. Many of the items listed on their website were not available on the buffet. Service was good, but unfortunately I don't see going back to do this again.

My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary at the Ryland Inn. Our reservation was for 7:30 pm but we weren’t seated until almost 8. The server did bring us complimentary champagne (not sure if it was for our anniversary or for making us wait almost half an hour for our table). We placed our orders right away (for the appetizers as well as the entrees) but our appetizers didn’t arrive until almost 9, and the Oysters Rockefeller had gone cold. Our entrees arrived close to 10 and were just average. The desserts were amazing and almost made up for the rest of the disastrous experience. It wasn’t our server’s fault though, for the extremely slow service. There was a wedding going on and the restaurant seemed to be seriously understaffed. It wasn’t a good experience however and I don’t think we’ll be going there again.

The food and service are very good. The “tavern” has a generic feel. Not a lot of ambiance. It’s holiday season, and I expected a festive vibe. The noise level was so loud that I couldn’t hear the person across the table from me. We were a party of four and I’m in my 40s!!

Very cozy, lovely setting. Ordered a dozen oysters (it’s nice to tell the guest where the oysters are from, even if we didn’t have a choice), the tempura mushroom (wasn’t tempura—deep fried and hard as a rock—wasn’t enjoyable), the foccocia/butter (good). Two of us had the hanger steaks (very good, slightly overdone for medium rare request), salmon special—very good, and linguine and clams (very salty and not “traditional” wine or vermouth based taste. It was a different spin on a classic—assume that was the intent but 3 of 4 guests agreed it was too salty. Shared the Mexican chocolate molten soufflé—most guests really enjoyed it but if I had to nitpick, there wasn’t much that was Mexican about. Normally would have more spice/kick to call it that. All said, we’re thrilled they are back and look forward to coming again.

This is a review of the landmark in restaurant in Ryland Inn ( don’t see a separate option ). We went for dinner i have been waiting years for it to reopen. And sadly i wish i just had thr reminder of how good they used to be. Maybe it was a bad night on the chef i don’t know but the people next to us sent the steak back due to the meat temp being wrong. That was right after we ordered ours. We ordered the steak and i had the burger. Since it was a favorite years ago. Well no longer sadly. The burger was abit bland bread didn’t seem fresh meat seemed like it was a frozen patty they warmed up also i asked for medium rare it was medium well For 23 it was on par with a diner burger sadly. And the steak was worse. We ordered medium well it was well done. I was annoyed and abit surprised I’ve been telling my fiance for years how great it used to be . Place looks nice of course as it always had been but apparently things change with the food

Had another really good meal at the Ryland. Chef was a bit heavy handed with the salt in 2 of our 4 entrees. We had the almonds there before which was to die for these had a disproportionate amount of oil, literally they were sitting in a quarter inch of oil. However, this was the day after Thanksgiving and they were crazy busy that day so, can be expected that there might be a miss or two. We’ve had flawless meals there before so we will definitely be back.
