   Not our first visit to The Ship but it was our first Sunday Roast and it was excellent! We both had the nut roast which was delicious & served with loads of veg plus gravy. Couldn't fault the food & the staff are friendly & helpful.

   So we screwed up on time and when I rang to say we’d be a bit late there was no booking. Turns out we had wrong time and we were 45 mins early! They couldn’t have been more forgiving or accommodating, thank you. A table came free so we were seated early and had bread and oils, a delicious roast, fish and chips and crab salad, shared a banoffee waffle, cocktail, 2 large glasses white wine, pint of Ghost Ship £111 all in including tip. Lovely atmosphere, great service from young team who all looked out for each other, very impressed.

   Have waited a while to come back to our favourite place. It certainly didn’t disappoint! Same lovely welcoming staff and amazing food. It really can’t be beaten

   We had a wonderful experience for Sunday lunch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. It was the perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon. We’ll definitely be returning again!

   We've had Sunday lunch at the Ship a few times before but it was even better this time. Three of us are vegetarians and the nut roast was delicious with lots of veg cooked beautifully. The meat and fish eaters enjoyed theirs too. Can't fault it!

   Having eaten at several other recommended gastro pubs and restaurants locally there is something about the relaxed ambience, excellent service and quality of the food that keeps us coming back to the Ship. This time we booked for breakfast and weren’t disappointed. Great menu, lots of options including a few unusual dishes. Staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. We left happy and set for the day .
