London's first 100% vegan pub, The Spread Eagle is keeping tradition alive while celebrating the UK’s modern culture. One of East London's oldest pubs, our focus is on premium liquor, the finest food and only the best vibes. Kitchen run by our good friends from Club Mexicana.

As of January 2018 The Spread Eagle became London’s first vegan pub with all our food, drinks, fixtures and fittings being plant-based and sourced sustainably where possible.

Our doors are open to everyone (families and dogs included) and we cater to all manner of lifestyles. Our fun & friendly staff are always on hand to make sure you feel welcome.

Good vegan food, esp the tofish taco! Would totally believe that it was real fish! Relaxed friendly vibe, speedy service with a smile! Nice Christmas vibes and able to chat comfortably! Nice Puriety Session IPA on draught.

Very original, delicious food with lots of different flavours in each mouthful and a really nice vibe to the play and friendly service. Came here with my wife and daughter for her birthday and we loved it completely.

Really nice pub but wouldn’t go here again for food. Honestly the worst vegan food I’ve ever had. The nachos were greasy, the guacamole was tasteless and they didn’t have a few things off their menu so choice was limited. The service was friendly though and the pub had a nice ambiance. Would go again for drinks but definitely not food. I really liked that the pub has a pool table. We have come home and ordered take away as couldn’t eat the food! For a night out having drinks and games of pool, it’s a good pub.

Amazing food and cocktails! My sister and I went for brunch and we really enjoyed everything we ordered: chickn and waffles, big breakfast burrito and hot wings. So good! Will definitely come back

Sadly the nachos were served cold and we were a bit forgotten about at our table towards the back. All our food came out spread out so we were eating at different times. This was a shame because I love the venue and atmosphere. Sitting next to the speaker meant conversation was a bit tricky, and our table was really crammed into a corner despite us having 4 people - other tables with just 2 people had more space.

Absolutely banging! When we first arrived for our reservation at 3.30 on a winter Sunday, the place was packed and we couldn’t see any tables. Asked at the bar and were whisked over to a sturdy wooden table. All the staff whizzed around and were incredibly helpful and funny. The food was divine - crunchy zingy tacos, vegan burger, spicy sauce veg, crispy potatoes, vegan ice cream sandwich... plus great beers on draught. I wouldn’t have changed a thing, I was so impressed that I booked a big party there in April. This place is great not just because it’s vegan - but the fact it’s vegan is a big plus.
