The pre show dinner options are great value and delicious. Absolutely recommend the Primativo red. With an hour and a half before needing to leave for the show, we ended up having to rush desert. Overall, I would return, if not time limited, as I really enjoyed the meal and courteous service.

We are all massive fans of Roast Dinners, growing up on them and have had hundreds- this roast stood out to all of us as one of the best if not THE best that we've had out... (it's hard to compete with my gran's yorkshire puds!) The service and ambience was great and every bite was delicious. We will DEFINITELY be back next time we are in the area. Was truly excellent!

We chose off the pre-theatre menu which at first sight appeared to be good value. I had the chicken wings and steak with roast potatoes and my partner had the 1/4 chicken and sorbet. The restaurant was relatively empty with about 10-15 other people who were there drinking so there was little to no pressure on the kitchen. The chicken wings arrived very quickly which was a nice surprise but they were steaming hot so appeared to have been microwaved and then finished in sauce. They tasted ok though. Then the mains arrived. I had requested the steak to be medium rare and what was served was well-done to slightly caught on the outside and blue to just warm on the inside. This steak had obviously just come out of the fridge and straight into a hot pan. There was no seasoning and because the steak had already been cut into slices there would have been no benefit to revoking the steps as they would come back to well done. The chicken again was below past in quality with very little flavour or seasoning again. One thing that does or was the roast potatoes served with both mains. They were tough as anything and were barely warm on the inside, so again another user of the microwave to present flavourless food. I appreciate that the menu was for the pre-theatre rush but we were almost the only people eating and there was no reason for the poor quality of food. I'd avoid the pre-theatre menu or even this place completely.

Trust the reviews, this restaurant won’t be here in 6 months unless there’s a Ramsey-esque change.

Booked here since it was close to our hotel, we had a long day of touring, and the reviews were solid. We were seated immediately as the restaurant was not too busy. We were seated next to a large table that was very loud. No biggie, we didn’t complain. But it put us a little on edge since there were other open tables available. Service was very slow. We had to ask for drinks. Food was ok. My son and I shared the “meat feast.” Meat was a little bland overall. The chorizo sausage was really good. We ate everything and were full, but not stuffed. Not sure it was worth 35 pounds each. My wife had the Goat Cheese sandwich, which she liked. My youngest for the filet mignon steak, but didn’t like the outside being overly charred. We ordered desserts too. Apple crumble was good. We then had to track down our waiter to get the check. Overall, I wouldn’t go back given the lack of service and mediocre dining (especially when the bill ended up being $300 USD).

I am thoroughly disappointed to have chosen this restaurant. Reviews are completely misleading. The service was super poor - I will give it to them that they seemed understaff with just 3 waiters, but the fact still is that, beyond having to chase every time to order, one of the waiters couldn't even tell which of our steaks was the blue one or the medium rare. Our burrata was supposed to come with olives and it didn't, and our steaks were supposed to have grilled shallots on the side and those were also missing. The steak itself tasted horrific, we had to remind the waiters we had ordered bernaise sauce (which I then regretted - it was cold, and very solid. You can get a better bernaise at M&S) Not only would I never return nor recommend, but I would actively discourage people to have a meal there

The food is usually very good here but on this occasion we were served cold food. The service was good, the staff was friendly and professional, but the food was sub-par. We flagged this and were given a discount. Hopefully, the chef was just having an off night.

Went for the pre-theatre menu - chewy steak, three rock hard potatoes. Service was underwhelming. The only positive was that it's nearby to various theatres. Unlikely to return - there are better restaurants nearby.
