Always enjoy our meals at the Thornhill Arms. The staff are always friendly and happy to help. Food is good quality and reasonably priced too. If you want a nice meal without the large bill, this is the place to go.

The food was tasty, but the service was so slow. We had been given the menu straight away but after 20 minutes no one had come to take our order. One lady came in after us, complained about the wait was then served before us. I had to go up to the bar and ask them to take my order. I just wanted a quick lunch, and had booked a table. My croque monsieur could have been hotter, but it tasted good, my husbands meal was hot and plentiful. Starters were good. I would go again as it was good value but I would place my order sooner!

Always have the most wonderful carvery, plenty of lovely meat and vegetables. If you don’t want the carvery then the vegetable lasagne and scampi is delicious, can highly recommend. Love the staff, genuine attention and always on hand for anything needed. Georgina, perfect as always, thank you 😊

Sunday lunch. Soup watery, bland. Meat was nice. Cauliflower cheese was nice, roast potatoes nice, Yorkshire pudding nice, roasted carrots very nice. Cabbage was raw inedible. Peas and green beans barely cooked. Paid £52 . Was a shame because this used to be the best for carvery ,sadly not now.
