Rediscover Maine dining. Native ingredients honor Maine’s indelible heritage. By partnering with local fisherman, farmers, distillers, and ranchers, The Tiller Restaurant combines the region’s distinctive culture and tradition with culinary innovation and sustainable practices for authentic and nuanced dining experiences.

Upscale contemporary design meets with charming rustic elements, combined with a bright and inviting dining destination surrounded by ocean views suspended over the cliffs. Seasonal breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus are prepared with farm-fresh local produce, line-caught fish, hand cut meats, and homemade recipes passed down from generation to generation.

During the month of August, the restaurant will have limited availability for non-resort guests.

Inexperienced server, I asked for the house Pinot noir and her response was “what, the cheap one” then responded well we don’t have a house wine.

This is a nice restaurant with a fantastic view and a varied menu. The service is good and our dishes were all very good. Portions are generous. The eggs benedict with lobster is well worth the extra $. We had dinner here as well and it was largely very good. They have a nice, varied menu, and wine list. Although our server noted that the scallop dish was one of their signature dishes, i would suggest avoiding it as it had 5 very small scallops that were very salty.

The lobster roll was disappointing. Tiller should--seriously!--send the chef to McLoon's Lobster Shack to learn how to do it right. The (fresh) bread is important, as is the way it's grilled. And the lobster should be really fresh and fragrant. Otherwise we had a very good experience, with the staff and the venue.

The view is second to none. It can't be beat on a clear crisp day. With the waves crashing on the rocks, you can see forever. Our service and food were outstanding, and it's not so loud that you can have a conversation without having to talk loudly. I would recommend it to anyone.

Gorgeous view and hostess was able to seat us near a window for a special occasion. Lots of gluten free options on an otherwise great menu. Service was unobtrusive but good. Will come again for brunch.
