Prix fixe menu for the evening with no choices for courses. No greens, very little vegetables and courses did not marry culinarily. Not enough staff for the evening so dinner ended up being a 3-hour long affair. Was not impressed!

The food and service at The Velvet is amazing! The food is absolutely incredible for both lunch and supper, and we’ll definitely be back! They have a very deep wine list as well, which we really appreciated.

It’s unfortunate that our experience was so bad, because the ambience is generally good. We were a somewhat large party, but they were completely unprepared to serve us. It took 20 or more minutes to get a drink and 90 minutes to get our food. When the food arrived, most of it had been under a heat lamp or just outright cold. Some of the dishes were also overcooked. The portions on the more expensive dishes were quite small.

We had a phenomenal time at this place last winter. So we really looked forward to going back this year. Completely 360 experience. Slow disconnected service and meh food for the prices. They didn’t have many of the menu items we had been looking for. Gave me the wrong bottle of wine. Disappointed to see what was once a treasure turn so quickly. We will try again next year but hoping things improve.
