The food choices were great and the food came out perfect. Cecelia was our server and she was excellent. It was such a nice experience dining outside by the palm trees. It is a beautiful setting and worth the drive over to Ferry Wharf. I am hoping they come to Charlotte this year.

We signed up for the high tea that takes place on fridays from 3-6. Having been to high tea many times I knew what to expect and let me tell you, this wasn’t it. When we arrived we let the server know we were here for high tea. Shortly after the finger sandwiches, scones and petite desserts arrived we began to wonder where the tea part of the high tea was. 45 minutes passed by and the server finally returned so we could ask about the tea. We were brought a box of teas to choose a bag. Now at this point I’m very confused because I didn’t bring my own hot water and I certainly wasn’t expecting to seep my own tea. I flagged the manager down and let her know that I think something was getting lost in translation and I was looking to have the tea served not just the tea bags. About 10 minutes later and the server returned with the hot water. All of this is happening while they are moving the tables around me and setting up for a private party that started at 5:30 (when I was told tea goes till 6). The entire experience was not at all worth $50. I can go downtown to hotel Bennett and have actual high tea for the same price. I think the server was trying her best but clearly wasn’t well versed in high tea. They should have cut service off early in preparation for the party they were having. The food was good, and very generously portioned, the tea when we got it was also very good. They have a great happy hour menu as well.

Easily the best service and food I’ve had! The best meal I’ve had in Charleston in a while! We walked away saying it was a shame that it was only a temporary pop up restaurant. Our waiter was fantastic, I didn’t catch his name (he did say it though) but his service was amazing and he was so sweet it’s no wonder the Bal Harbor Access pop up asked him to come along with as they travel. The drinks and food were amazing as well! The food was perfect. The flavors were balanced and fresh but also homey and comforting. We had gotten the fried okra, deviled eggs, Whitman fries, Caesar salads one with chicken and no anchovies and the other with shrimp and anchovies, and the mini crab slider rolls. The fried okra was fresh and crisp without having a lot of breading and did not have a slimy consistency that okra can have sometimes and the dipping sauce that came with the okra was delicious and creamy yet very light. The deviled eggs with caviar were the perfect ratio of yolk to egg white. The yolk was creamy and smooth and the egg white was stiff but not chewy. The little bit of caviar on top gave it the perfect amount of extra pop and salt. The Caesar salads were the perfect portion. The dressing was light and fresh but very flavorful without being overwhelming. The chicken was beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The shrimp were also perfectly seasoned and the most satisfyingly perfect texture and so fresh. The mini crab sliders were fantastic. The bread was perfectly toasted but not soggy and the crab meat was the freshest crab I’ve ever had (I grew up in FL). It was beautifully seasoned as well. You could taste the crab more than the seasoning which was a delightful change from the southern norm. Even the Whitman fries were delicious. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They were perfectly salted. It was refreshing that they were nothing overly fancy. The drink we got was the Ginger Rogers which were perfectly balanced and refreshing.

My girlfriend and I had a lovely experience- We enjoyed the waitstaff, the afternoon tea goodies, and music! The weather was perfect! Only thing is maybe offer 2 types of bubbly ( felt the cost per bottle was high) We did purchase a bottle of Rose.
