Things started badly as our booking was not on their system but a table was available. Service was prompt, efficient and polite. Menu choice was quite extensive for lunchtime. Drinks and food were delivered in good time and were well presented and of good quality.

This was my second visit and as on the previous occasion the service was not great. They seem to have a problem hiring. Food is neither good nor bad. Would hesitate to return unless I hear that the service has improved. Otherwise the pub is well located with good parking. Having a large restaurant does encourage some noisy groups.

I’m a regular at the Woolpack but the Sunday roast was a big disappointment. Very small portion, hardly any vegetables, not enough gravy, no offer of any condiments. I had to ask for gravy and mustard...the chap at the next table was asking for more beef...it was definitely not worth £17.50!

Cant complain about quality of food , however service was not great 1) Slow to take order 2) Asked for another soft drink ... still waiting never arrived 3) 2 coffees and 1 tea arrived all separate - I'd almost finished my coffee before the tea arrived 4) Acknowledged I'd requested my bill, took a further 5 minutes plus to come across with the terminal to pay It was not a case f not enough staff, ,my opinion maybe too many and none knew what each other was doing or meant to be doing - organised chaos

We had a really relaxed, evening with good food and service. Plenty of parking and easy location. Great atmosphere, would recommend and go again

We enjoyed our meal at the Woolpack. It took a long time for the restaurant to tell us that we couldn't use our Dining Cheque but otherwise a good time had by all.
