Very expensive for what is offered. Neither the food nor the service is good. The $5 salad plate was the most hilarious: 4 pieces of onion rings, 3 thin slices each of cucumber and carrot, 2 green chillies which were kept as is, and one cilantro leaf.

It was a decent experience. A chain that is owned by Sanjeev Kapoor do come with a lot of expectations in terms of ambience and food. The food was decent enough and the restaurant looks a bit dull and gloomy. The service was very good considering only two of the staffs were managing everything end to end. Full marks to them. A bit disappointing, I must say!

Great food however, if you’re not completely knowledgeable about what the food is, it needed a little better explanation and possibly pictures on the menu. Our server was very polite and very nice, however very hard to understand and didn’t really explain the menu items to us where we could understand what they were. It was our first experience there and we were very excited to try something new.

Good location. We were seated immediately by cordial host. The food quality left much to be desired. It’s gone down since my last visit. The food had a heavy seasoning of black pepper and garam masala. The soup and appetizers were decent. The entree would have been better but the black pepper dominated all other flavors. The breads tasted good but felt like they were made sometime ago. At the end my expectations were higher and the food did not deliver.

The food and service is consistently top notch. The smell of raw sewage is getting worse each time we have visited the restaurant over the past couple of months. Management says they’re working with the building owner to find the source of the stench.

Food quality has gone very low . Menu is changed and so are recipes. The change is not a good change . Taste and quality both gone too low . Not worth spending 150 dollars for two people.

Let me start by saying that this is not our first time dining at Yellow Chilli and the reason we return is obviously food and the service. Last night we dined there to celebrate my daughter’s 13th birthday. I wasn’t impressed with the server who seated us. She seated us at the long table that was closest to the hallway leading to the restrooms. The moment we sat we experienced a strong stench. I requested her to seat us elsewhere and she was quick to brush us off and say ‘well I don’t smell anything but I can move you’. Secondly, we ordered the aloo tikki that comes on a layering of yogurt. I asked her if we could have the yogurt on the side and again she was quick to respond NO. It will be served as is, on the bed of yogurt. I would like to ask the owner(s) how would you accommodate someone who is lactose intolerant but wishes to enjoy the aloo tikki? We ordered the chicken tikka, mutton seekh, golgappe and tikki which all tasted great. For the main course we had butter chicken which was not appetizing, chicken curry tasted good and the mutton biryani that tasted just okay. We ordered butter naan and roti. Firstly they served us garlic naan instead of the butter ones, that too, cold and hard. We waited sometime for the server to come back to us to check how we were doing and another 10mins to get the correct breads. Overall, I wasn’t disappointed with food as much because I understand slight inconsistencies are expected but our server’s attitude really put us off. Something to work on if you’re working in this industry.
