Tick Tock Diner, an iconic symbol of the American diner with locations in both Midtown Manhattan and Clifton, New Jersey, has mastered the art of casual dining, providing customers with high quality ingredients, generous portions at a reasonable price and a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere that keeps them coming back year after year.
The 280 seat Midtown Manhattan location opened in 1997 at 481 8th Avenue (corner of 34th Street), across the street from Penn Station. Tick Tock Diner has long been known for its American comfort food. Today, it remains true to tradition while offering more dining choices than ever before on its extensive menu, accented with Italian, Greek and Tex-Mex influences. Keeping in the diner tradition, breakfast is served all day, featuring more than a dozen omelets, farm fresh eggs any style, pancakes, Belgian waffles and French toast.

There were 8 of us. They had a great table and a very fast, efficient and friendly service. Good diner food: eggs, pancakes, french toast. Noise level was good, so we could her each other.

Iconic place and great service. Super attentive in the right way. (When you need it, but no more.) 24 hours!! Right off the E subway stop. Very large space and plenty of booths and tables. Nice view from window seat of our NYC “busy town.”

The service was slow and terrible. The waitresses didn't speak english so she didn't understand our order. They served the hot drinks but it took forever to get the milk. They asked for the tip in cash.

This is a good reliable eatery with standard diner fare done well. I usually make a reservation if I know beforehand, but they have always had free/available tables when I visit. Great location - it's across the street from Penn Station, and two blocks from Madison Square Garden.

Easy in and out, very clean, expansive menu (something for everyone), full bar and convenient to Penn Station, Madison Square Garden and that neighborhood. Ate dinner there before the show at MSG then went back after the show for some dessert. No complaints.

We had a great experience today! They have gluten free pancakes which were great. Very close to Penn Station and MSG.

Staff was excellent and attentive. Food came out lightning fast. Restaurant is spacious with ample seating (largest diner in NYC!) Lived in NY for years and thought it was going to be impossible to find a spot to seat 8 people at 10:30 am on a Sunday and Tick Tock Diner delivered. I had my two young children with me and Jose got them their food almost immediately. Was a great place to grab a bite and you can’t beat the speed and convenience. Everyone enjoyed their food and we had a great time. Would come back.
