   Service is outstanding, warm, professional and attentive. Food is delicious, special mention to the risotto and the desserts. Sea food is uber fresh and skillfully enhanced without covering its “natural” taste. I give it “only” four stars overall due to the noise level. For me it is a bit too loud for this kind of place. Even with that, this is a very nice spot, one of our favs in the area.

   I found Tides after spending hours online perusing seafood restaurant review sites and checking menus, and I'm so glad I did. Tides has, without doubt, one of the most comprehensive seafood selections in the greater East Bay area. Five of the six in our group ordered fish -- all different -- and everyone was very satisfied. I chose the halibut w the sauce on the side; it was expertly cooked and delightfully presented. This restaurant is definitely worth repeating visits.

   Cioppino and scallop risotto are both fantastic! Very good service, nice decor, not noisy when we were there although the restaurant was almost full. Prices are a bit on the high side, but this is a lovely special occasion restaurant with wonderful cocktails (try Wild Eyes!) and good options for those who don't want seafood. Plenty of parking across the street. Enjoy!

   The appetizer - calamari is the best I’ve had.. great salad dressing! The Chilean sea bass - the fish itself was good but the mashed potato that it came with, seem too heavy .. would have worked better if it was lighter.. the desserts are just okay.. we had the lava cake and butter cake both are not outstanding..

   We enjoyed our service by Robyn, and our food was excellent My husband had sea bass with mashed potatoes, and I had wonderful risotto scallops.

    Oysters good from the East Coast. Lobster toast should not be missed. Clam chowder presentation was better than the chowder. Overall, a good spot and a beautiful restaurant.
