Timber & Salt is a downtown Redwood City restaurant and bar serving quality steaks, seafood and craft cocktails. Our kitchen, led by award-winning chef Joshua Regal serves fresh, seasonal dishes highlighting the best ingredients California has to offer. We also serve one of the best burgers in Silicon Valley. Our cocktail program features hand-crafted cocktails using select spirits, house made syrups, bitters, tinctures and specialty garnishes. We also feature a deep list of spirits, fine wines and specialty beer. Both the kitchen and bar utilize fresh ingredients from our farm in Woodside California. Timber & Salt has intimate indoor seating for over 50 guests and an enclosed, heated outdoor patio for up to 30 guests. We are open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.

We arrived 10 minutes early but were seated promptly. Once seated, the sun was setting so we were blinded by the light in our eyes and within a few minutes, the staff came by and moved us to a better table. We ordered 3 starters and were pleasantly surprised by the large portion sizes. Next time, we’ll order 1 starter to make room for the entrees. The service was excellent and will definitely start our “dinner and a movie” date night at Timber & Salt”.

We love T&S!! Great food, excellent service, drinks are always delicious and overall is just a wonderful experience. We visit often and are never disappointed. Feels like home! Celebrated my husbands birthday and we were made to feel very special. Thank you!!

Great food and excellent service! Our party had a great time. Apps, Filet and all the sides were delish. Desserts were amazing. Best Lemon Tart I’ve ever tasted!! Looking forward to coming back!

We just had a very memorable meal at Timber and salt. We are Old fashioned aficionados and they did not disappoint from the perfectly cut square ice cube to the orange peel garnish on the edge of the beverage. Service was perfectly timed and quite attentive without being intrusive. We started with warm olives and our cocktail. Then we moved onto a beet and greens salad. It was large enough to share which we did. Since we were celebrating 33 years of marriage we both splurged and ordered filet mignon. Each cut was cooked to perfection. Two sides were ordered: mushrooms and butternut squash. The meal was cooked and presented to perfection. Looking forward to our next visit!

I donated blood platelets at Red Cross and the staff said to increase iron in my diet so made reservations at our local steak place. Doctor's orders! Had the filet with horseradish cream, a wedge salad, brussels and fries on the side. So good! Only sad I couldn't have a cocktail or wine since you're not supposed to drink after donating blood:( Luckily, we got a table inside since it was a bit chilly to sit outside in the streatery.
