   Great food. Excellent service. Confusing Ambience. I used to live in Hyde Park and would frequent Timpano's prior to the remodel and menu update. It had a very rich, classic feel and a great menu - loved that seafood tower. For my first time back, I was at first disappointed by the remodel. It's now up-to-date but not special or as classy. There was very little reference to the Italian Chophouse heritage. It took me a minute to locate some Leonetto Cappiello artwork in the bar. The music was like a club/lounge and pretty loud . I enjoy that vibe but not for a $$$$ a la carte dinner. Gone are the days of live music, piano bar. Things change, target audiences change. I was screwed by my memory of a classy experience. Overall, the ambience just felt cheaper. On to the good stuff...The Bronzino was top notch! New York Strip had so much flavor and perfectly cooked. Shared Caesar was fresh and ever so tasty. Gelato and coffee were rich and flavorful. I was a little nervous ordering, after taking in the new ambience but was so satisfied...and full. Nice portion sizes. 4.5 star food (not 5 due to some menu items I missed so much) Wouldn't have changed the table service in any way. Loved our server. She was kind, never rushed us, made us feel comfortable. No judgement. Followed up just the right amount of times. Little touches were done like wiping the table down between courses. Steak knife was missing and brought very promptly with a smile. 5 star service. I would go back for happy hour and bites at the bar. And my expectations would be more aligned with their new ambience. All my best to the staff at Timpano's.

   I booked a reservation for a late lunch at 2:30 PM this past Sunday, January 19th, expecting to enjoy a regular lunch menu with my family. Before booking, I checked the restaurant’s website to ensure there were no restrictions or set brunch menus for Sundays, but nothing was mentioned. I had family in town and specifically wanted them to experience the cheese wheel, which they were excited about. However, once we were seated, our waitress informed us that brunch service runs until 4:30 PM on Sundays. This information was disappointing, as it wasn’t indicated anywhere online. Had I known about this in advance, I would have adjusted our plans to come after 4:30 PM. Unfortunately, our schedule was tight since we planned a day of shopping and already had movie tickets for a 5 PM show at the theater across the street. I strongly suggest the restaurant update its website to include details about brunch hours to avoid similar disappointments for future guests.

   Very loud but beautiful restaurant. Our server was fantastic and brunch was delicious. Fairly priced. I wish they had more options for kids and was not so loud but will go again!

    Not the best experience at all if you are looking for Italian Food I would not recommend. The food was very bland and lacked any flavor. The service wasn’t bad outside of the host being pretty rude. The overall feel of the restaurant is nice but if you do go on the weekend just know you will not be able to hear the people you are having dinner with. Me and my girlfriend were celebrating our anniversary and left still hungry and not satisfied with our experience.
