Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Tin Fish Boca offers an "upscale vibe" with a diverse seafood menu and attentive service, despite occasional slow service and noise. Standout dishes include "Key lime pie," "charred romaine," and fresh "seafood specialties." While some find it "pricey" and crowded, many express a desire to "return again soon."

Fish and chips - fish was fishy tasting and smelling, spinach was cold, crab cakes were tasteless. First time I ate half my meal and did not take the rest home. Will not be back.

We love it there. It was fabulous. The food was great and we had the best best waitress. Lots of laughs. Great evening.

Love the food and our server. We have been there many times before with no issue however this past experience was frustrating. We had made a reservation for 7:30 for 4 on a Friday. Apparently the kitchen could not keep up and our food came out at various times so we did not eat at the same time.

We would return to try again. Overall it was good. But our server was not. He was quick and not at all available. There was a very unfortunate mishap that evening. We all got our excellent salads (charred romaine perfectly lightly dressed and very nice Caesar salad). My husband and I received our meals in a fair amount of time . Food was delicious. Just as our friends were about to receive their food the employee assisting our server tried to pass him, politely excused herself but he either didn’t hear her or ignored her and she went around him, tripped over a hanging table clothe and fell hard. The dishes and food went flying. Pool girl was stunned sprawled out on her side on the hard tile. With the help of our friend (the server took off leaving her in the floor) she got up limping away. Sweet girl was hurt but no one from the restaurant came over to check on her. At least 20 mins later after we tried repeatedly to track down our waiter (who passed us multiple times but never looked our way) he actually stopped looked at the table and said “where’s your food?” We told him on the floor. It took another 20 mins for a manager to stop by. That was after someone from another table went to him at our defense. The server showed up too saying “I’m doing my best, you just have to be patient”). Through this comedy of errors our table stayed calm and really tried to be understanding to the evening. Our biggest concern was the employee who fell. Unfortunately our server seemed to not care less through all of this. He was running around like a nut and seemed very scattered. They were definitely short staffed. Our food was cold by now. But our friends did finally get served. They said it was very good!! We were seated promptly when we arrived at 6:20 (res at 6:30) and we left the restaurant after 9pm. Crazy night. BTW, the manager did compensate for the late food delivery. He tried his best once he realized the issue. But, the server desperately needs better training.

This was our first visit and when entering and seeing the decor, we had high hopes. The space is quite lovely. And now the good, bad, and the ugly. We were seated promptly …and waited a bit for a server. We ordered wine, corn bread and an appetizer of baked clams oreganato. These arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The cornbread with the accompanying honey butter was delicious. The clams were quite good as well. Another couple was seated at the table quite close and we struck up a conversation. It definitely passed the time while waiting for our entrees….a very very long wait. The other couple ordered and waited an hour and never got their dinners and simply upped and left. I had the snapper key west style, which I found very tasty. Myhjusband ordered the fish and chips with the recommendation of the server and found it too greasy and ate nothing. And we waited an interminable amount of time for our check. In fact, he went to the hostess stand and rather made a scene to get some attention as well as the total disrespect for that other couple. The restaurant was very busy but it seemed most tables were indeed waiting even longer than we did. This aspect of service was mentioned in other reviews…i should have paid attention

This was the third time we have eaten at Tin Fish. The restaurant was full and very making conversation difficult. The waiter, Rick, was very nice but seemed to have too many tables for one person to handle. It was difficult to get his attention and the wait between the appetizer and main course was altogether too long. The food was good but not anything special for a fish restaurant. We will look elsewhere for a more pleasant experience in the future.

The food is absolutely fantastic. Service was a little slow but they made up for it. If my GF was pleased then this place is great. Would definitely go back.
