Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Tiner's Alley offers a charming pub atmosphere reminiscent of England. Diners rave about the "crispy Brussels sprouts" and "best sausage" in bangers and mash. The drink menu is "unique," and the service is "superb," especially with attentive staff like Kelsey. However, some guests experienced long waits and unclear menu descriptions.

I wanted to really like this place, but the food fell way short of expectations. Food was very salty and my sausage in my bangers and mash was undercooked. the atmosphere was great and reminded me of English pubs I’ve visited, but again food quality was very disappointing.

I wanted to reach out regarding our disappointing experience at your restaurant on Valentine’s Day. We had a 6:30 PM reservation, but when we arrived, we were immediately met with, “We have no open tables tonight,” instead of a proper greeting. It felt dismissive, and I couldn’t help but wonder if my husband’s Make America Great Again hat played a role in the way we were received. Regardless, we let it go and were eventually seated. The booth we were given was extremely small, making it uncomfortable—especially for my husband, who is muscular. Given that your establishment is a cocktail bar, we expected quality drinks, but unfortunately, they were underwhelming. The biggest letdown, however, was the food. For a total of $350 (including drinks, tip, and the Valentine’s dinner), we expected a satisfying meal. Instead, the portions were shockingly small, and we had to go out for pizza afterward because we left still hungry. Additionally, the menu description for the appetizer we ordered stated steak with house pub chips—nowhere did it mention that it was actually steak tartare (raw steak). When we questioned it, the server seemed condescending, saying, “Oh, you don’t know what that is?” That lack of clarity and attitude added to our frustration. Overall, we left feeling ripped off and disappointed. This was meant to be a special night, and instead, it felt like a waste of time and money. Based on this experience, we will not be returning, but I felt it was important to share this feedback. I hope this helps you improve future experiences for your guests.

tiner’s alley did not advertise on open table about their fixed menu for valentine’s day prior to making our reservations there, which we did weeks in advance due to their small venue and popularity. cost us about $200 more than we had budgeted for. no warning when we got there about the menu, either. certainly won’t be returning for any holidays, and the chances of us going back on any other day are slim. our waiter was rude, kept putting zyns in his mouth immediately after having to speak to us, and rolled his eyes when my partner didn’t completely finish a dish he’d been to forced to order due to the fixed menu’s limited options. no pricing was listed on the fixed menu; had there been pricing included, we would have politely found somewhere else to dine. hugely frustrating experience.

Usually one of our favorites but not this time. It look over 45 minutes from the time we ordered to get our food. My red wine was served too warm as well.

The crispy Brussels sprouts are the best in town in my opinion. They drink menu is the same as the Avery and I’m not mad about it. Will be coming back for sure.

Our first time there. I had a reservation, and opposite a lot of places, there was a reserved sign on our table. I had the fish and chips and my dinner partner had bangers and mash. My helping of what I believe was halibut was more than I could eat, but delicious. The bangers was great , as I had to sample it. I didn't catch our waiters name, but he was very attentive. Madison , who appeared to a management person check on us and was very pleasant.
