Welcome to Toloache (pronounced toh-lo-AH-tchay), chef-owner Julian Medina’s contemporary Mexican bistro located in the heart of the Theater District. Toloache is named after a flowering plant famed in Mexico for its use in love potions. We hope that when you dine with us you too will fall under the spell of chef Medina’s creative cooking, which incorporates seasonal and natural ingredients and more than a dozen types of chilies. Our festive, two-story space features a guacamole and ceviche bar, a wood-burning oven, and an exceptional tequila list, along with elegant decorative elements imported from Mexico.     Great service and delicious food. A little pricey for mexican food but considering it is right at theater district it was worth the spend. Super convenient for our pre Wicked dinner. It is literally 30 sec walk from the Gerwshwin Theatre.

    Toloache is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I always have a wonderful time when I go — it’s my go-to spot when I’m going into Manhattan to spend time in the theater district. As always, the service was wonderful — the hostess was incredibly kind, as my friend got stuck at a work engagement, the staff was flexible, the bar tenders were warm, and our waiter was lovely! I will always make time to go to Toloache and enjoy every moment!

    Food was very good. Portions were relatively small. Dinning rooms were very tight and noise level made it hard to hold a conversation.

    Margarita were good - menu is limited -Seated in the 1st floor near guacamole station. Workers were too chatty and some Spanish bad language was used we asked to be moved away from that area We decided to leave after margaritas and guacamole And finish our dinner elsewhere . Hostess and Waitress were fine - it was other staff made us feel uncomfortable
