Terra restaurant is located at Tottington Manor which is beautifully situated in the South Downs National Park with hillside and farmland views, yet it is just 10 minutes from the A23 at Pyecombe and the A27 at Shoreham.

With a menu showcasing the best of local ingredients cooked fresh each day by our team of chefs, you can enjoy dinner in the restaurant, or outside on our decking, or in winter time, choose our more relaxed fire side Olive Restaurant.

In addition we have a number of private dining options available from 6 to 95.

Our South Downs Suite is completely separate with its own private garden, stretch tent and bar and is ideal for family celebrations, parties and of course Weddings. The food wasn’t amazing but not terrible. The beef was overcooked and the chicken was very dry for the roasts. The service was kind but took 1 1/2 to serve the food which was outrageous for a restaurant that costs quite a penny. They did offer to take off service charge after complaining but in reality that should of been done automatically. Definitely not coming back to a place that serves food that my local pub can do quicker and probably even better. The only good thing about this place is the views especially when eating outside.

Thanks for taking my earlier call. We try very hard and are proud to deliver great hospitality. We care; if we don't think we've been at our best we will be the first to say. You were greeted today by Phil who responded to your request to seat an additional guest as you had only booked for 4 and not 5 so he offered the table of your choice with firepit as an alternative as you preferred to be outside. You arrived at 12.15 and had paid and left by 13.47. 1.5hrs for 5guests dining for drinks, starters and mains & freshly cooked food is more than acceptable. Arthur who served you said your feedback had been good but after saying that service was slow, service charge was removed by him without question. We think our food and service is amazing and we are sorry to read you won't be returning.

Loved coming here for the first time. Great atmosphere and lovely decor. The food was amazing however not sure what went wrong with the stuffing. It was also an extra charge and it was very disappointing. Very dry and tasteless. The service unfortunately wasn’t great either. We had to ask to order every-time. Apart from that, super impressed with everything else

This was our first visit to Terra and was very impressed with everything. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was excellent and enjoyed our time there.

Food was delicious. Servers were attentive without feeling rushed. Booked for a birthday and they bought out a taster dessert with candle and birthday message on, which was a really lovely end to our evening. Great place for a special occasion.

First time back to Tottington in too long! Booked a reasonably last-minute Sunday Lunch and we were not disappointed. Everything, from reception on arrival, to service, food delivery and the actual food itself, was just superb. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect and the care and attention paid by the team was excellent in every respect; cannot fault it. We opted for the Sunday Roast; Tottington has a spin on the usual "pub roast" - slightly posher version but better in every way; the flavours and presentation was absolutely spot on, and thoroughly appreciated. Disappointed !!! Dined in the olive lounge which we found cold and fire need not work. Radiator was turned up on request but with draft from front door opening , it did not get warm . Had Sunday roast however only given two roast potatoes each so we requested another one each as another couple had . We were told we had to pay extra £5 for a bowl of extra roasts which we did because would have been hungry however the bowl only had three in it. Very disappointing ! Please note standard green vegetables not included and you have to order separately and an extra charge. To top it off service charge was put on bill for £8 odd which we paid.

Hi Susette, I am so sorry that you were disappointed with your visit, it is unusual, particularly with the log burner fire and the large radiator in the room, whilst it was a particularly cold day outside I am sorry. Our Sunday Roasts do come with a selection of seasonal veg and potatoes, there is a great selection of veg as standard on our roast dishes but as you say if there are specific additional sides that you want they are also available. With regards to the roast potatoes, there should always be enough, and I wouldn't expect you to have to pay extra, this was a rare mistake and I will get this refunded to you. We had tried to get in touch by phone and left a voicemail as we prefer to discuss any serious concerns directly, I will try you again tomorrow.
