I was expecting something perhaps different because of the online reviews. The food was just okay and was not hot when served. My roasted potatoes were cubed and resembled homefries rather than roasted potatoes. My husband’s and my lamb were tender but not hot when the meals arrived. Our served never returned to check on us after the food was initially delivered or we would have asked to have our plates warmed up. We ate at noon and yet they were out of a popular desert item which I would have enjoyed.a guest in our group ordered the key lime pies which was very good. The ambiance was not anything special, but was clean and pleasant. I expected a more tavern theme perhaps- not sure we would return but it was an overall a just okay meal.

Service was good today, but restaurant wasn't very busy unlike weekends when they are too busy for number of staff. "Crispy" Brussels sprout salad was more like cold soggy Brussels sprout salad. Last week we had crispy Brussels sprout app which was mostly black. First few times we visited, I had the salmon which was wonderful. Last time there was half the amount of vegetables and again the Brussels sprouts were burnt. The hamburger was very good. I really liked hat there were a good number of French wine, now they are out of many wines and are planning on changing the wine menu - maybe it's a tariff thing. Still better than the previous restaurant, but a bit disappointing just the same.

We sat at the bar. It took at least 20 to 25 minutes for somebody to come over and take our drink order. The bartender walked by us several times and never acknowledged us sitting there. Once somebody else came by, they asked if we wanted to get drinks and it took that person a while to pour our drinks as well. Then we finally put in a food order. We had to wait another extra 40 minutes for our food. It seemed like it was a very stressful night for all the employees. They all seemed to be in a bad mood and it made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. The food was good but I felt like the portions were small. The drinks were good. I don’t know if I would go back based on off of the service we received.

Hi Amanda, We're truly sorry to hear about your recent experience at Town Square Tavern. It's always our goal to provide excellent service and it seems we fell short on your last visit. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the food, but we understand that the service did not meet your expectations. It was the bartenders fist night on the job and while we understand this doesn't excuse the type of service you received we do want you to know this is not the norm. We also made some other staffing changes since your last visit which will greatly improve future service. We hope you'll give us another chance to make your next visit a better experience. Best, The Management Team

This was a change of ownership so perhaps they are still getting their legs. Chef was running around serving dishes with no effect - if anything it was confusing things because the servers looked like they were deer in headlights mostly refreshing water and cleaning tables. I get the sentiment of Chef coming out to tables, but it was basically a drop and run so any feeling of care for the food was diminshed. Bar was way behind - it took us almost 30 mins to get a drink. Food was average. Brussels were NOT crispy and Bronzino was swimming in a pan with no spoon or ability to eat it without it falling apart and having to fish out the pieces in the broth.

This was our second visit and won't be our last. We are looking forward to bring more friends. Knowing that we have the potential of a David Burke Restaurant among us is unbelievable and needed. No other way to say it. Absolutely amazing entrees and appetizers Our fish entree and burgers were cooked to perfection The appetizers were delicious. Desserts were great. Almost everything was spot on for a fantastic Burke dining experience. Here's where the wheels fall off the bus, the staff needs significant training in how to make a complete dining experience. This took away from a perfect evening They need to know their menu better, how to explain entrees appropriately and desserts. Remembering small requests when asked and being better prepared when presenting dinners and appetizers. They need to ask before the customer asks. And most importantly not forgetting about your customers. Plus appropriate conversation between other staff, some things should not be heard. This can certainly ruin a dining experience even if the food is beyond perfection. If they are going to run a David Burke experience they need to step up to a plate literally. The chef is doing his part. He knocked it out of the ballpark two times. His talents truly shine. It was our second visit and we will definitely be back The speciality drinks were exceptional both times as the bartenders know what they're doing. I hope they succeed as we need such a wonderful restaurant in Keene. The David Burke corporation has the format now it is just up to the staff to follow his lead. Happy Dining many times over

First time dining at Town Square Tavern and was not impressed. Food was lackluster and cocktails we ordered that would expect a bartender know how to make (lemon drop and cosmopolitan) were not made well. Menu is limited and no specials on a Saturday night. Its predecessor, Luccas, was leaps and bounds a much better dining experience.

We really enjoyed our meals. Started with the rings and wings. Fun presentation and very tasty! For our meals we had the Grilled Salmon and steak frittes dinners. Very delicious and enjoyable.

I made a reservation. We came in on time . The hostess couldn’t figure out how to use the computer system which is fine . We sat at the bar and no one came over for about 10 minutes . It was just a weird and unwelcoming vibe so we walked out and went to the Stage restaurant and had the best time there . Management should do better on training the staff.

Town Square Tavern is a new comer on the restaurant scene in Keene. The facility housed a long established Keene restaurant. I think the folks at Town Square have taken it up a notch. They shifted the entry door to the side closing the old, wind tunnel ramp entrance. The lighting has been improved and they installed a new, pleasant bar. The food was very good. I had short ribs on pasta and Mary had salmon. For desert we shared a cinnamon roll topped with ice cream on a hot skillet. It delightful. The manager stopped by the table to chat and the waitress, Grace, did a great job. In short we will go back.
