Trattoria Emilia is an authentic Italian restaurant focusing on seasonal produce and fresh pasta. Head chefs Francesco Rota and Luca Flammia hail from Modena in Emilia Romagna.

At Trattoria Emilia we seasonally change the menu and source a large majority of our produce from regional Victoria, our meat is organic and sustainably grown in Tasmania and Victoria and we import some of the best Italian DOC products. Some dishes that are not to be missed are our Tortelloni Emiliani and the crowd favourite salumi misti with gnocco fritto and tigelle served with mortadella mousse.

Rustic, yet refined, Trattoria Emilia boasts fantastic ambience, attentive and professional service whilst all the while remaining a great casual dining spot perfect for a quick lunch, a long relaxing dinner with friends and has always been a romantic date spot.

If you would like to leave your dining experience up to our chefs, we offer a 5-course tasting menu. You will be starting with a selection of antipasti inspired by Emilia's tradition, followed by homemade pasta and locally sourced meats, and finishing with either dessert or cheese. The $40 deposit will be discounted from the total of your bill at the end. Please inform us of any dietary requirements so we can cater to all guests. PAYMENT: We require a final number of confirmed guests up to 24 hours prior to the booking. This will be the minimum number catered and charged for. We had the degustation menu. The food was excellent, the staff were just the right amount of attentive and very pleasant, wine a little pricey. We left full. We will definitely be back.

We choose the summer set menu which was 5 course meal entree, mains and dessert. The food melted in your mouth, definitely will be back.

Absolutely amazing. Everything was so delicious and the service was outstanding. The food was so amazing with all the different dishes from Northern Italy. Can’t wait to go back.

Nibbles we good (bread and mortadella) but then the entree (vitello tonnato) was very disappointing. It had an unnecessary jus on it that totally overpowered and ruined it. And my ragu had been overcooked to the point where it almost tastes burnt and jammy. Didn't finish it. Overall quite disappointing.

I believe the Trattoria Emilia is dramatically overpriced. The quality of the food is average but the pricing is premium. We don’t plan to return. Service was friendly but the overall experience was Lacking

Lunch service : chef’s starter smoked cod mousse on polenta ‘finger’, was disappointing. For the minimal amount of smoked cod in the mousse, the flavour was completely lost on the thickness of the polenta ‘finger’. Ravioli dish of the day on the other hand had a generous amount of shaved black truffle to make this dish happily sing and dance on my palate. My lunch companion was very satisfied with their Tortellino dish. Over all a delightful lunch with responsive and friendly service staff.

Simply amazing food and atmosphere. The moment you walk in, it feels like you're entering a small restaurant in a town in Italy. Fantastic fresh ingredients and the pastas were a perfect balance of taste and texture
