   What delicious food and terrific service. Enjoyable experience from start to finish. We started with hummus and the fabulous pita, the zucchini was amazing, great Greek salad and the Orzo with brown butter and mizithra cheese was heaven. The Kok was amazing for dessert. Makes me sad I live so far away but if I am ever in Portland again I’ll be back!!!

   We've now been to Trela a few times. The food is always really good. The flaming cheese is fun and delicious. The super thin and crispy fried zucchini is excellent. We've also had the cabbage rolls, which were good, but they have a spice in them I don't love, not sure what it is. Last night, we tried the shrimp saganaki dish that has ouzo in it. It was out of this world flavorful. However, we wanted more bread to dip in our sauce and could never ask for it as our server didn't check back on us. A food runner brought out the food and we didn't see our server again until it was time for her to bring the check. The service is an ongoing problem here. The first time we ate at Trela, we had a male server who was excellent. Unfortunately, the next two times, with female servers, it has been poor and very inattentive. Further aggravating us last night, we saw the table of four behind us receiving tons of attention from 3 different servers. Why were they being overserved while we were ignored? We are as friendly as anyone else and always tip 20 percent or more. It's extremely frustrating to spend almost $100.00 on dinner for two and to be ignored. We may have to reconsider dining here.

   Great neighbor vibe & really nice menu with some unique items. We loved the Greek martini on the cocktail menu. Lamb chops were perfectly cooked. Personable bartender knew his stuff.

   Good service and great cocktails but the tomatoes in the salad were not fresh and other menu items were uninspired. I will be coming back for drinks!

   Our group of 5 loved Trela! The food was both homey and well-prepared. The Paidakia (lamb chops) were so succulent and with the greek salad and various dips made up a perfect meal. We also enjoyed the Brizola (steak), the Lavraki (sea bass) and the Ouzo Garides Saganaki (shrimp) -- something for everyone! The best part of the evening, though, was the service: thoughtful, friendly and so rightfully passionate about their recipes. Nothing over the top (ok...the flaming cheese was super fun), just delicious comfort food presented with genuine hospitality.

    Lovely new restaurant very close to my apartment building. So happy to see a nice warm and clean restaurant opening up here in our hood! Excellent table service with the waitstaff on the ball but not intrusive, knowledgeable of the food and good suggestions. The lamb chops were excellent! We had the Spanakopita, one of my favorite Greek dishes but it was a bit disappointing as it was a little soggy and tasteless. Another disappointment to myself and my neighbor companion was no lamb skewers. They do offer skewers but not with lamb. We hope they expand their menu to include this lamb skewer dish as we are sure it would be a big hit.
