   I've been here about 4 or 5 times in the last few years and this recent dinner mirrored my previous visits: average food, average/good service. On this current dinner visit, my companion and I shared the lettuce salad. The good news was that the greens were cold, but the salad had very few beets, very few pecans, even less cheese, and too much dressing. The biscuits were warm (a good thing), and we added some salt, which made them taste even better. They provided a compound butter mixed with some vague greens, which I thought was not good at all - you tasted the greens but very little butter. Thank you for the requested, unflavored plain butter - a much better pairing with the biscuits. My companion had the short ribs and thought they were good - tender and not overcooked. I had the ravioli and was disappointed with the presentation. I didn't touch the dish. They asked if I wanted something different, but I passed. We did not have dessert. Service by the primary waitperson was good but the back-up (Latina, sorry I didn't get her name) was excellent! She smiled, was accommodating, friendly, funny - she had a great rampart with my companion. Out of the blue, she insisted on giving him a tamale to take with him (which he devoured the next day).

   I ordered the salmon and loved it. My husband enjoyed the spaghetti. This place has been a favorite restaurant for years. Highly recommend.

   Our server Michael was wonderful. The bacon wrapped dates were stellar. The special was Beef Wellington, and it did not disappoint

   Have not been to Trio in a while and the other person was never there. Service was good, but could have been excellent. The Waitress was terrific & all but one backup servers were very good with one exception. We requested water, the person who brought the water(not the waitress), just said here is your water and put the bottle down on the table & quickly turned and walked away. Excellent service would have been if he was trained to pour the first glass of water and then leave the bottle to refill our glasses when we needed to. Outstanding service in other restaurants do this as a matter of fact, the way they did it here was weird. The food was tasty but both main course pasta dishes were overly salty. The person I was with likes his food heavily salted, but his he almost could not eat. The other point was that I ordered mushroom ravioli and what I got was really mushroom tortellini, which is a different eating experience than ravioli.
