    Went here for a birthday dinner. The ambiance, the history of the building and the service were top notch!! The food…… was ok. Not great but good. The menu online is not the same as the one at the restaurant. There’s a few differences. Tight quarters for eating with 4 people as the tables are tight. Especially since the sides come separately from the proteins. Quite honestly I had higher expectations for this restaurant after reading all the online reviews. Overall, the atmosphere and service is a 10 out of 10. The food - I give it a 7 out of 10.

    Spectacular space - this repurposed electrical substation contains a spectacular restaurant and bar space. Cocktails are well prepared and presented, and the food is spot on. Perfect place to take someone you really want to impress.

    We went to True Wild for a birthday and had a great experience. The food was delicious. Loved the oysters and the lamb. We had a great server that took care of us for the evening. The restaurant itself is beautiful and there is a great event space upstairs. I Would definitely recommend a visit

    The space is beautiful. The food was outstandingly delicious the highlight of my dining experience the last few years in Calgary. Looking forward to more experiences there.

    Ok. Maybe I expected amazing after all the reviews about this place but there are definitely things that need sorting. Location is super odd. Destination only for sure. Not a place you could get cocktails and go somewhere else for example. Ambiance was cool. Could have dimmed the lights slightly to make the vibe a little better. Cocktails were great. We sat at the bar which we always enjoy. Ok. Here’s the bad news. The food was just ok. Menu is limited and a little strange. I see where they were trying to go but just missed the mark. Too pricey for what you get. Maybe we just chose wrong. Sunchokes were a miss for me. And the steak was half fat (which I realize some people like). Anyways. I’m going to give it a few months and see if they get the menu sorted before I give it a second try.
