   In fairness, new restaurant that is trying to figure things out. Way understaffed and very, very loud. The room needs softened up a bit from a sound perspective. We specifically chose this place as my wife has a gluten allergy and I even called and spoke to someone that confirmed that we would be good. We brought it up and it freaked everyone out and they got concerned which was not reassuring. Operationally this place needs to get its act together and maybe someday it will be a decent place to go…. OK food but operationally challenged.

   Service and Food excellent Pricy They add 20% tip and don't give you an option to reduce --- but you can add on and some probably do not realizing 20% is already there

   Very quiet, almost too quiet. Service was mediocre at best, but for a 20% included gratuity on the bill, the service was not up to par. Food was over priced for the quality. There are way better places for $50+ entrees and $25+ drinks. Not a surprise that only 1/5 tables were filled during a Friday night.

   We wanted to try out Tula because it was a new oceanfront restaurant. We arrived to an office-like lobby and two couples sitting at a bar: there was no ambiance and it seemed deserted. We went to Tula's only to be treated by Nick, who was doing his very best to give great service while being a one-man show. He sat us, awaited on us and mixed drinks. He told us that they had ran out of kale and that the Branzino was replaced by grouper in the already very limited menu. We ordered and were very happy with our food and the flavors. However, we sat facing a closed window that had ceiling-to-floor curtains that were closed due to "turtle season," which in fact it was not turtle season on Oct 31st. The room was very brightly lit, and some consideration should have been taken in regard to its location on the beach and turtle season. People who dine here want an ocean view - even at night! I suggest you shut the the ceiling lights off and do small table lights instead. This would add to the atmosphere and would comply with the turtle season issue. You can have brighter lights by the hostess stand. Additionally, Nick was unable to give cash back, so you can only pay by cc! He has no cash drawer, another fail. Overall, this is not a great place to dine for the price due to the bad decisions by management. The chef and Nick went beyond their jobs to make it a good experience. The Management needs to be changed! This restaurant is at a soft opening level, and the prices should reflect that.

Due to turtle season ending on October 31st, we are now able to open the window curtains and allow for the full view.    I was very excited to try the plant-forward menu. However, I was left with a lackluster experience. I dined for lunch on my birthday, noted in my reservation, and there was no mention of my special occasion. The only person in the restaurant when I arrived was the server, who I felt ignored me as I walked in (I had to approach him to let him knowni was dining in halfway into the restaurant). His service was OK, no beverage menu was offered. When I asked, I noticed an afternoon tea service that was not mentioned until after I ordered. The Wagyu sliders were not worth the price tag, 2 bite sized on a plate that was much too large for the portion. And I was offered green apple sorbet on top of the marinated strawberry dessert, but the sorbet had a fennel like flavor and was extremely sandy. The highlight of my meal was the Ginger Spice Chai with a happy face drawn atop it. All in all, my visit was mid at best, definitely missed the mark.

   I have never had worse food. My husband and I anticipated a nice evening sitting on the water. We ordered two appetizers. One was a mushroom soup, which is a stretch because it was basically water with a few mushrooms thrown in no flavor. Mine was an artichoke salad, which was in edible. I had to send it back. My main course was risotto and it was so bad. I couldn’t eat it. My husband had a pasta dish, which was also an edible. The ambience of this restaurant is lovely. The food is the worst I’ve ever had don’t go.

   Beautiful location, interesting & delicious menu, small portions & extremely high prices for what you get. Ex: pistachio baklava was delicious, but it was also 1 single small triangle for $18, Branzino was delicious it was a razor thin slice for $45. Something has to give, either management keeps the prices but increases the quantity of food, keep the small sizes but adjust the prices or customers will stop going

    We showed up on a Wednesday night and were the only one in the restaurant. Literally, two of us and that's it. It was very bright and we felt like we were in a hotel lobby. Our waiter was outstanding and the food was good, but it all felt a little weird. The lighting was terrible and they were out of many items on the menu. I think this will be a great restaurant but its not ready for prime time.
