   There was a DJ playing and it was so loud you couldn’t have a conversation with the people at your table. We all left with our throats sore from talking very loudly. It was not an enjoyable atmosphere to dine. We loved it in the past but will not be returning if they have a DJ that plays music for a dance club instead of playing music at a slightly lower volume so diners can enjoy their dinner and the music.

   I was skeptical, but best tacos I’ve had. Also great drinks, great service. 10/10 recommend.

   First thing was something black was in my friends seltzer, my other friend didn’t like the margarita she ordered, asked if she could order another one the server asked well what was wrong with it & my friend said it was bitter i just didnt like it can you take it and i will order a different one & server responded well the drink has to stay on the table (i have never been told a drink needs to stay at a table when no one is drinking it ever before at any restaurant, i even have worked at 3 restaurants & i have never made a drink stay at a table if its not being drank), my friend ordered another drink, we still were eating our first appetizer when it was ordered, the drink didnt arrive at the table until after we finished our second appetizer & started our meal, I had questioned the server asking where it was, she advised the bar was backed up, there were 2 bartenders on staff and the restaurant was not full. Our meal came and 3 ingredients were missing from my friends meal & an ingredient that she didnt ask for was added to it, once I let the server know she responded with “let me see what i can do about that.” The host (i assume might also be the manager) came over $ said they would fix it, I asked just to have the ingredients brought out and she did. I wouldnt describe the server as rude but she had no personality- in the service industry having a personality is part of your job. The corn we got as an appetizer & the chips that came with the salsa were very good. The steak tacos with cheese one of my friends got had barely any cheese on it. The taco bowl my friend & I got was not very good- the chicken tinga tasted very watery. I had found this place on a long island instagram page because it was rated #2 for best mexican on Long Island. My friends & I were so excited to try but were extremely let down and will never go back.

   Do not recommend! Over priced for the food. When I asked the manager Valeria if one taco order could be redone she offered no solution and that we would still have to pay for it. After spending $200 dollars there they couldn’t remake the cheapest tacos on the menu! Horrible management experience. Avoid at all cost!

    The service was terrible but the food was excellent. They were extremely busy I do understand that but the waiter didn’t check on us during the very long wait of about 45 minutes to get our main course from the time we ordered until about 5 minutes before the food came out. He has said it was coming right out but it took another 5-10 minutes after that. It was VERY LOUD so don’t expect to have a conversation unless you like to yell. The food was very good and so were the drinks but the service is lacking. The prices are also a bit high for what you get and no sides are included. Most Mexican restaurants include rice and beans with the main course at the same price point as tulum. You must pay for those extra. They would have to improve the service for us to return.
