Originally opened in 2010 as the first authentic Artisan Italian restaurant in Salem, NH, Tuscan Kitchen is now one of the most beloved restaurants in New England. Founder Joe Faro, the son of Sicilian immigrants, had the vision to share his love for Italian heritage with his guests.     We waited about 25 minutes to be seated after our reservation. Our waitress was friendly. Food arrived before cocktails.

    After waiting for 20+ minute for a table (despite having made a reservation) and then another 20 minutes for our beverages, our waitress was great - helpful, friendly and thorough. Some of the food was really delicious eg rigatoni with duck ragu, carciofi starter, fried calamari. Other were good if not rising to great. Mushroom risotto didn’t have much mushroom flavor. Wine was expensive. Only a few bottles under $100.

    It was a very busy night at the restaurant, biggest issue was not having any silverwear for a few minutes when our dinner arrived. One of our guests had to get up and tell the waitress this.

    Food was great but not the true “homemade flair” we were looking for. Lovely place nice waitstaff and nice dessert for my anniversary!

    We had our 1st anniversary dinner at Tuscan Kitchen and it was wonderful. They brought us out some Prosecco to start which was very lovely. The food was great and we got the truffle pasta which is always good. The only thing I wish could be different was that it was very loud and it was hard to hear the servers.

    First time dining at Tuscan table. We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary. Food and service were 10/10. We will definitely be going back.
